Fraudulent TM Legal
Dear Trustpilot Team,Sometime at the beginning of June, I received a summon from the National Court, over a false claim put up by TM Legal. It was about false indebtedness claim by another company called Creation Finance whom TM Legal to be acting on behalf of.After I received the court summon I contacted TM Legal with documentation proving that I was not indebted to Creation Finance. I paid the sum of £85 as requested by the court because unknown to TM Legal, this was the actual amount I owed Creation Finance.Having realized that I wasn't indebted to Creation Finance more than the actual sum of £85, they then told me that if I paid them £100 they will close the case with the National Court. I consented to the payment of £100 not because I owed this sum, but because I was worried about how much of my time the court proceeding would take. I made this clear to TM Legal.After paying them the agreed £100, they then sent me an email with the message, 'Thank you for making the payment of £100, your account is now closed.' This message was in the first place wrong. Secondly, I later realized they did not close the case.I then made a counter claim to the National Court requesting TM Legal to refund my £100 which they took under false pretence. I paid the mandatory £35 to the National Court.All of these happened between May, June and July. I am yet to hear from the National Court, whilst TM legal is yet to refund my £100.i would appreciate it if Trustpilot is able to get through to the National Court and or TM Legal to refund my £100.Thank you.
