DO NOT BUY THIS TRAVEL INSURANCE. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT BUY THIS THING, ITS A SCAM. IF YOU GIVE MONEY TO THESE PEOPLE, YOU ARE AN IDIOT.
My wife has vertigo and her Doctor who is a neurologist filled out their physician statement and of course they said that it was not enough and that they wanted more information. Why have the doctor fill out a form if its not enough info in the first place. I am so disappointed in Carnival for teaming up with "AON" travel insurance. What a loser company. My claim started Jan. 30, 2026 and still nothing. When I talked to customer service all they could do was repeat the same script over and over. We are still waiting. Stay away from these guys. "AON" sucks.
We missed our cruise because of the TSA employees called in sick.It took us over 3 hours to get through security to make our flight. Aon insurance denied our claim. What a terrible and misleading company. Do not purchase travel insurance through this company They are taking your money and running away with it.W
Very disappointed, I took a cruise and was medically disembarked and I was in the critical care unit in Gibraltar UK. Aon did reimburse for lost days on the cruise and for what my health insurance didn't cover, However I explained over and over that I didn't not have any flight expenses because my husband works for an airline. I did have to pay for transportation from Gibraltar UK to the nearest international airport.Aon has refused to reimburse this expensive even though this would have been cheaper than having to reimburse me for airline tickets expensive. Their lack of understanding anything outside their cookie cutter script makes it very difficult to deal with them.
My wife and I planned a cruise to celebrate the end of her cancer treatments. At the time we booked our cruise she was not experiencing the side effects anywhere close to what she was after the treatments were over. On top of that, she tested positive for Covid three weeks prior to the cruise. Her oncologist told her that she should not proceed with the cruise. This was documented and forwarded to AON. Apparently that was not enough. They also told us that she was required to have a Doctor’s Covid test documented, and the home test was not accepted as proof. We are very disappointed with the lack of communication from AON. We sent many documents and received a confirmation of reception. When they did not reply, we called and they said they had not received anything. This happened more than once. If you purchase, you better believe they will do anything possible to get out of refunding as promised. We are so disappointed.
Terrible will give back the money even if you're Dr says you canceled because you can't travel because you have Cancer. Disgusting company so don't travel with CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE.
Wish there were an option for negative stars. This place is a SCAM! I made the reservation 8/14/25 for a cruise 4/4/26 paid in FULL. AON claims celebrity didn’t send it to them until 1/6/26. I was diagnosed 12/24/25 with a critical medical issue which will require extensive surgery/treatment making it unable to travel. AON is stating it was a “pre existing condition” which is obviously is inaccurate. I’ve contacted BBB and Celebrity to investigate.
Deserves 0 stars. They are a scam company. You basically need to die to receive a claim. Carnival Cruise Lines uses Aon and they suck too!
Once again, here is the claim #. You will note it hasn't changed on any of the previous emails I have sent to you! #3483608. As I told you before, YOU connect AA if you want the engineering report on the part that caused the aircraft to go 'out of service'. Once again, here is the AA reference number. AARef#1-38470994157
AON doesn’t pay even though we had doctors blessing to go. They know more than doctors do just ask them. They will make up whatever so they don’t have to pay. Several complaints. Go to a real insurance company not AON scammers
I have an outstanding claim at Apn travel since September 2,2024. My husband got sick on a Regent cruise in Italy on 9/2/24 and was treated in the ship’s medical facility. I began filing the claim on 9/4/24. After sending all the medical records by email and return receipt requested several times I received a message to file with Medicare even though it is know that Medicare does not pay for claims out of the U.S. I submitted the Medicare denial and severalMonths later I was asked by Aon to file a claim with Emblem , my secondary insurance. It took several months for a response and I submitted their Denial of Benefits and was told that it was insufficient and they neede a FINAL D nail of Benefits. Emblem said thy had never heard of a FINAL denial of benefits although they would try to send me some this. I am waiting for this so I can submit it. I would never recommend thus company to anyone even if I finally have a settlement. I have been pursuing this for over a year and a half without resistance ltion
completely worthless insurance. You don’t get any of the fine print upfront when you pay for the travel insurance. We had a trip delay out of Atlanta, a connecting flight, causing us to be three hours late arriving in Miami. The cruise ship left without us. They call this a trip delay and not a cancellation even though we never got on board the cruise ship we got reimbursed $600 total for our trip delay as they call it. The insurance was $450.
Aon travel insurance was a scam. We were denied our claim of medical reason for canceling our Oceania cruise. My husband was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and was unable to travel while taking treatment. They denied based on preexisting condition, which was blatantly false. We called and got the runaround for 5 months, finally getting the decision. We had given all of the documentation required from his physician.
AON had me go through all kinds of hoops when my wife fell on a cruise. They paid $0 once I forwarded them all the receipts as they requested. So…..what do you think?
If I could leave a zero I would. These are the biggest scammers ever. They denied my claim on an issue that I told them that I was not filing on to only redo the claim and reran the claim that I had changed from. The biggest scam company ever.
AON is refusing to repay for a canceled trip.
AON Travel insurance is a scam, not useful, do not buy this insurance. I am also agree at Royal Carabien offering this insurance. They do not want to approve any claim, they will give you run around.
this company plays games when is time to pay, they continuously tell you that they sent you an email, which never arrives and they tell you it needed more information and that it was sent via regular mail, then when they approved the claim, sent you a payment for only one person and then say it will take 10 business days to receive the other email, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
I would never purchase travel insurance from this company again. We purchased through Virgin Voyages and unfortunately, needed to use the policy. Virgin damaged our luggage delivering it to the cabin to the point that it was completely unusable to disembark. Virgin documented the loss very well. We purchased a bag, as similar as possible, at the next port. It was not an expensive item. We submitted the claim and were asked for a string of documents including a copy of our homeowner's insurance showing that they would not cover loss of luggage in a foreign port. The receipt needed to be taped to their piece of paper. A copy of the receipt for the total cost of the cruise and itinerary and letter from Virgin were some of the items required. They then paid less than half of the replacement cost. Their "policy" is a blurb on the website and does not say they will not pay replacement costs. There is no way to call or email them to discuss - only the portal link to upload documents. We traveled in September and received the payment this week (December). Very poor experience. They sent a post-claim survey but the link just takes you to the general website with no survey visible. I don't think they want feedback. My experience with AON leaves me with the impression that they are a disreputable company. Would not recommend.
My husband and I had planned a cruise three months after my surgery as a celebratory trip. Unfortunately, an unexpected medical issue came up, and we had to cancel. We submitted all the required forms, and the cancer institute submitted theirs as well. After hearing nothing back, we followed up—only to be told there were more forms to complete, some online and another set that had to be mailed to the institute (which, by the way, was never received).Every bit of progress has only happened when we initiated it. I’ve now completed seven weeks of radiation, and we still haven’t heard anything.
