Awesome! I bought two different styles of check luggage and was able to return the luggage I did not want for free and it was a SUPER easy process! Start to finish my experience was wonderful and I would highly recommend this company. They have a great warranty (when compared to other luggage companies) and to me that speaks volumes for the confidence a company has in its own products.
I want to share my experience with Travelpro so that anyone considering buying their products can make an informed decision.I purchased a Travelpro tote .I was buying from a reputable brand with reliable customer service and a solid warranty. Unfortunately, my experience turned out to be the opposite. After some normal use, the zipper teeth on the suitcase failed. The bag is still within the warranty period, so I submitted a warranty claim through their website and attached photos clearly showing the issue. There was no visible damage from misuse, impact, or overloading. The zipper simply failed under normal use.I received a quick response from customer support. They wrote:“We are truly sorry to hear that you have issues with the zipper teeth of your Travelpro® Platinum® Elite 21” Expandable Carry-On Spinner suitcase, we will be happy to assist. After further review, we do not have the required parts available for repair. As a gesture of goodwill, we would like to offer you a 50% discount toward the purchase of a new luggage item at regular price.”At this point I was confused. My bag is under warranty, so why am I being asked to buy another product, even with a discount?According to their 5-year limited warranty, it clearly states:“If your product fails as a result of a defect in materials or workmanship, we will repair your bag/product (or replace it, if repair is not possible) at our expense.”My situation fits this exactly. The zipper failure appears to be a defect in materials or workmanship, not customer damage. I explained this to them in my reply and pointed out that if repair is not possible, the warranty states the product should be replaced. After that, I received another message saying they had “authorization to send me a new luggage item.” Sounds good, right? Not exactly. They told me I would have to pay a non-refundable shipping fee of $50 + taxes, and they would send me a new Tote . They also required me to cut the tag off my original bag and send photo proof before they would proceed. Here is the part that really made me question the whole situation.Their first “goodwill” offer:• 50% discount on a new bag• The bag costs about $110• With the discount I would pay $55Their “approved warranty solution”:• Replacement item• $50 shipping + taxesSo in reality, both options cost almost the same amount — around $55.In other words, whether they call it a discount or shipping fee, the result is the same:I still have to pay about $55 for a product that is supposedly covered under warranty. To me, that defeats the entire purpose of a warranty. The company presents it as great customer service and goodwill, but in practice the customer still ends up paying.Another issue is that different emails referenced different products, which made the whole process even more confusing. The final conclusion from my experience:Travelpro’s warranty looks good on paper, but when it actually comes time to use it, the solution still requires the customer to pay out of pocket. If a product fails due to a defect and the company cannot repair it because they don’t have parts, that is their internal supply issue, not the customer’s responsibility.Because of this experience, this will be my last Travelpro product. My advice:Before purchasing from Travelpro, read the warranty carefully and understand what it really means in practice. Also consider looking at other brands that offer true lifetime warranties where the customer does not pay for replacements or shipping when a product fails.I hope sharing my experience helps others make a more informed decision before buying.Travelpro that pure SCAM in my experience. Experience regarding what?
Love my luggage
I am impressed with my Travelpro transaction. I found out about Travelpro from my son who is a frequent business traveler who is sold on this company. I love how lightweight it is and it looks great. It has plenty of pockets As well. I love that it has a lock too. The delivery was really fast and the shipping package was really great.
The quality of the luggage is excellent. The color was young and fresh and my daughter loves it!
Good solid luggage!
Timely shipping. Packaging was outstanding!
Disappointed that I had to pay $27.56 in both shipping and taxes for replacement parts, despite the "Travelpro will cover the expense of shipping the repaired or replacement bag back to you." As you can see from multiple other reviews, they have clearly gotten this feedback long before but have not addressed it. Furthermore, I live downtown in a major city that only had repair centers 1-1.5 hrs one way in the suburbs. I reached out to local luggage repair centers downtown who confirmed they were denied TravelPro repair status because they also supported Briggs and Riley. The front wheel of my Travelpro Platinum Elite Carry-On Spinner broke after 2.5 years of medium use, flying 20ish flights a year. For a suitcase from one of their more premium suitcase lines, I was disappointed to see this wheel deteriorate so quickly.
Wow, I wish this information would have been more readily available before the purchase of my luggage. TravelPro is recommended everywhere for their high quality and warranty they provide. However, the warranty is a complete sham! Like others have said, after a year, TravelPro not only makes you pay $25 +fees to ship replacement parts, the consumer is expected and required to replace faulty parts themselves. My bag came defective and because I reached out in a year and 4 months they won't send replacement parts unless I pay for shipping. I would never recommend this company and am truly sorry to have had money wasted on a defective product and scam of a "lifetime" warranty. UPDATE: I still haven't received any word from TravelPro on this site or anywhere else or a new handle. Their customer service truly is abhorrent.
What is lower than one star????I bought a brand new bag Dec 31, 2025 for over $400.00. Used it for one trip during which a wheel broke off. After many many calls, I was REFUSED a new bag and was sent wheel replacements. No directions, no tool.My husband and I tried for 1 1/2 hour to figure out how todo it. NO LUCK!!!DO NOT BUY FROM TRAVELPRO
Great product design and durability. I purchased a carry on a couple years ago, and now a full size. Love the way everything works, from various compartments, system for keeping hang up clothes unwrinkled and easy to use combo lock.
Got only 1 refund and still waiting on the 2nd refund - both items in same box and arrived to them 2/11/26.They claim they can't locate the 2nd item and unable to give refund.Return 2 items of different order numbers. Returned online, got 2 RMA numbers and 1 shipping label. Put both items in 1 box with the printed return label.Very unprofessional - will not buy from again.RMA10084312Order #700101677865FedEx return received at Travelpro warehouse 2/11/26 Still waiting for refund and they claim that warehouse never received it and unable to give refund - obviously they lost it!!!!
Brought 2 identical suitcases, one arrived with a TSA lock as per spec, the other did not. Contacted customer support who replied "While two suitcases may appear similar or be purchased at the same time, they may belong to different models or production runs, and therefore may not include identical features" Absolute bonkers. You also only have 30 days to report any issues - Will never purchase from Travelpro again.
Overall, satisfied about my purchase. I bought a luggage prior as a trial under the “100 day satisfaction guarantee,” but apparently since I bought it on sale/on a discount, it wasn’t eligible for me to make a return label myself. Upon contacting customer service, they stated it wasn’t eligible at first, but admitted they were wrong when I pry my reasoning being it wasn’t a final sale item nor was it on their page of final sales. So overall, customer service sometimes have no idea what they’re talking about on their policies, so be prepared to go through days of going through right department if it’s a complicated issue and hope they don’t leave your ticket# hanging.
I was able to replace my cracked compact travelpro platinum elite
Very nice carry on, feels solid yet light, wheels rolls really smooth, handles feels solid, quick shipment
I bought a TravelPro suitcase specifically for the warranty. While the suitcase seemed well made, one of the zippers of the side pocket recently broke on it, and while it wasn't a major failure it was annoying. I decided to check with TravelPro to see if they could repair it. Customer service decided that this wasn't repairable and that they would send a different model as replacement. However, they are asking for a $25 shipping fee, while the warranty on their website clearly states that "Travelpro will cover the expense of shipping the repaired or replacement bag back to you." If their own customer service is refusing to honor the language on thir website, how can I even trust them in the future!UPDATE: A couple days after posting this review Travelpro replied to my ticket and waived the shipping fee.
This is the perfect size when I need to pack for a week. It’s a beautiful and classy piece.
