Nothing beats real B&W prints
The quality and light balance are excellent.They look and feel like good B&W photos on photo paper because that's what they are.No halos, no extra color from an inkjet.

There is something about printing onto photographic paper and forcing the chemical reaction that no other process can match, even if they add a glossy layer on top of the inkjet print.

The enlargements were dark, and whites were not white
The enlargements were dark, and murky, and not at all like the images on screen. In particular, the whites were dark, and not bright white. While I know that there is some loss of dynamic range when going from screen to images, this was awful.

Great results! Better than just using a filter!
I sent some vacation pictures here for printing, as I wanted a dramatic, classic effect. This came out much better than applying a filter on my phone and having it printed elsewhere. No regrets!
