Bark Box Cares

Bark Box Cares. Great customer service, and when I lost my service dog, they really cared. They changed the primary animal member on my account to one of my pets, and sent condolences. When my loony heelers destroy a tough toy in 20 minutes, they send a better replacement right away.

Highlight of the Month

Whoever is with design, deserves a raise. The monthly themes always give us a good laugh. Although a little sad they went from a box to a "doggy bag" the toys are always super cute and my pup enjoys the treats and toys.

My dog loves to get her toys from Bark…

My dog loves to get her toys from Bark Box. She was not a fan of the treats as she did get an upset tummy. They do have options to remove treats and get an extra toy. I love the creative toys. However, the delivery timing is awful. My boxes are always late. I have neighbors who get theirs at the start of the month and mine dont come until mid/end of month. I recently went to cancel my subscription due to this frustration

BarkBox... more like BarkBag.

I was disappointed to see that the new bark boxes are being shipped and packaged by Amazon and they no longer come in boxes. The first time this happened I thought that it was just around the holidays and they were using Amazon due to an increase in volume. But the following month we again received it in a white bag. It's unfortunate because our dog loved getting the box, he knew when he saw the box exactly what it was, now it is just another package.

SCAM!!!

SCAM!!!! BarkBox uses predatory subscription tactics to trick customers into long term commitments. Getting a hold of a live person to stop subscription is virtually impossible. Also, the beautiful "boxes" I received in the first couple of deliveries later were small, plastic shipping bags of dollar store treats and toys. You can find the same low-quality items for a fifth of the cost at Ross, Marshalls or Dollar Tree. Some of the toys are unsafe. One was made of rock hard plastic which chipped my 2 yr. old Doodle's tooth. After texting about the tooth, (no live customer phone service is available) I finally got a return call from someone in August of 2025 and I let them know I no longer wanted to participate. (I have the voice recording.) In October....low and behold, my card was charged again $207 for 6 additional months of junk. Disputing this is taking longer than it's worth. I'm going to report them to the FTC: (Google "FTC fraud report - Trust Pilot does not allow posting of websites) for fraudulent practices and post this on every review site I can find. If this happens to you, report them to the FTC. FTC keeps a log of complaints and track trends of companies like this. With enough complaints they can open a federal case against the corporation, assess fines or shut them down completely.

New to BarkBox

New to BarkBox. Toys are of very good quality. Treats are good, but not appropriate for a small puppy. Unable to get past the BOT to a real person to individualize our order as advertised. Honestly, I was first attracted by the free dog bed. It looks like the “calming bed” we have all come to know and trust. BarkBox’s dog bed is not the same. It’s cheap and I feel that it’s unsafe for a puppy, since the inner cover can be easily removed and chewed up. It’s not a high quality product. Giving feedback is really difficult. So I’ll live out my 6 month contract, but will definitely not renew it.

BarkBox is a wonderful company

BarkBox is a wonderful company. I love that I can easily subscribed for the amount of time I choose and easily pause my subsciption. My pups love the treats and toys too!!

Do not make my mistake

DO NOT USE. THIS COMPANY IS A SNEAK. THEY ARE A CHEAT AND THEY WILL TRAP YOU INTO SUBSCRIPTION PACKAGES. YES, TRAP YOU. Recently, I tried to cancel my subscription due to the economic changes. However, their subscription packages are only available for YEARLY ONLY. This isnt Netflix or most subscriptions where you can cancel anytime. No this is like the magazines of the 80s and 90s where you are on the hook regardless. Please do not buy ANYTHING from bark.co, that includes the super chewer, bullybox and the aforementioned barkbox

My dogs love bark box

This is my second dog I have ordered bark box for. They love the dog bed, treats and toys. I think they are a little pricey but over all my dog is happy

Dont Waste Your Time

Bought the Bark Hare raiser toy for my 6month old puppy after being assured by the assistant that it was for aggressive chewers, obviously not true, as he had the outer layer off and half the ears eaten in next to no time.I emailed the company for a refund as the seller would not refund.Garnet from Barks Happy Team replied, stating that he was sorry, but unable to refund through retail partners, but that he was more than happy to send a free replacement toy as part of their Scouts Honour Guarantee, and asked for my details so that he could make sure a tougher tail wagging toy made its way to my doorstep.My details were forwarded, but no big surprise to find no answer to reply and no replacement toy.I will now go ahead and proceed to get the refund back with my Credit card company.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! This company is a sham. They will lie and remain dishonest the entire time! They were charging my card for an item I left inside my cart. I politely asked for a refund for all those charges I never approved of. They tell me they don't do refunds. They provided zero customer service satisfaction. I kept getting responses from various individuals behind the email. And one of those with admin control or possibly the founders themselves, had the sick nerve to go into my account and whipe my entire account clean of all past charges, my dogs name was gone. My saved address for the shipping was gone. I paid for a full years of Barkbox. Then they had the nerve to write me back asking to show some proof of these purchases. I laughed so hard. I never experienced such a display of a business. I have the confirmations of my orders all on my Shop app. I went to my credit card holder to reclaim all those unrecognized charges and got all my money back. I will forever never recommend this evil business of a pathetic unprofessional scam of a business to anyone!! Buyer BEWARE. I'd be happy to share all the emails and Shop confirmations of the orders made with these losers. But Trustpilot doesn't allow that option. The date of this horrible experience was April 5th-9th 2024. The calendar provided via Trustpilot denies going back Oct of 2024. You're a disgrace!!! And the people deserve to know this ugly mess about you! This is for you people looking to read into these reviews and decide if you want to do business. I can care less for the 1 star I am giving these bad people.

Package still not shipped

Made an order (not a subscription) for some toys. Ordered Saturday, Bark took my money immediately - now Thursday and the package has still not even been shipped which in my opinion is crazy, when you charge the money straight away. Guessing it won’t be send out this week either and I will just have to wait several weeks in total. I will definitely just shop at a local store next time.

I have loved this service for years but we are now cancelling because they no longer ship toys in a box. It sounds silly, but the company name is BarkBOX and half the fun was letting our dogs tear into the box after I partially opened it for them. I can’t let my dogs tear into a plastic bag… I also miss the well designed inserts, just all and all a disappointing change.

Incompetent employees

After experiencing some of the company's employees, it's no wonder I love my dog so much more than humans. Their employees are just entitled juveniles and that's how they intentionally stockpile their company. It's no wonder their stock has tanked to nothing in such a short amount of time.

BarkBox isn’t a box, it’s a Bark Bag

The company changed the BarkBox to a polymer bag, with fewer toys after 18 months of membership. Horrible customer service, and definite example of profit above all else. If you upgrade you can get your gifts in a box, which has cute stories and a theme. For $35 they have USPS toss a bag of crap on your steps. Our dog deserves better than that, yours should too.

At one time they were great

At one time they were great, but they are now misleading and a very toxic community that deletes reviews and blocks people who don’t leave 5 star reviews.

It’s a rip off now

I’ve been a bark box subscriber for years and I’m done with them. They recently started using broken waste bits from other treats and selling them as ‘trainers’. They are clearly parts of stick treats that were broken in the process. They are inconsistent sizes, most of which are too small to even be actual treats. And the bottom of the bag is mostly flakes and dust. I tried to contact customer service chat but could not get past ai and waited for a human for a long time before giving up and sending an email. Customer service is lacking and so is the quality of the treats.

BarkBox’s RULE!!

I subscribed to Bark Box when my dog was just a puppy for the first year of his life, and then later on I graduated him to the “super-chewer” bark box! He LOVED getting the boxes every month! There was never really a toy he didn’t care for! And what was so great, was if there was a time that they sent something that my pup did not like, I just sent them a message and they kinda tailored my boxes so that he only got stuff that he did like!! This company is AMAZING!! Super cool!! I think I liked the boxes just as much as my dog did!!

Sad change to a once great product

Chester (border terrier) loved his subscription for the first 6 months he would be so excited getting his box and opening it the staff there is wonderful they have now switched to a plastic bag obviously I don’t want the dog chewing on a plastic bag so we open it for him and there is zero excitement I would no longer recommend
