Really great customer service. Helpful and knowledgeable about products. Kept our chosen items in their warehouse until our renovation was ready. Prompt delivery when needed. Delivery men were very pleasant and efficient. Special thanks to Paul for overseeing our order.
recently had a new wetroom absoulutly fantastic the staff at the shop explain everything whats going to happen plan and design everything brilliant service.Alan the fitter was also fantastic went the extra mile for us due to our disabilaties but apparently he does for everyone highly reccomended thanks guys for everything regards Ray
Bolton Bathrooms first fitted our bathroom in 2005 and the result was excellent, thanks to Gary, who did the survey and provided the quotation and to Lee who fitted everything. We approached the company again this year (2023) for a complete refit, essentially to replace the bath with a walk-in shower for health reasons. It was Gary who came along to do the survey. I also learnt that Gary had owned the business originally and was now working for the new owner, to whom he had sold the business.Dan did all the design work for us and was most helpful, listening to what we wanted and offering suggestions on how best to meet our needs. Dan provided the quotation and arranged for an installer, Peter.Peter worked hard, single-handedly, for two weeks and stayed late on the last day to complete the work. The task was not without its challenges for us all. While removing the existing equipment, an existing connection in the water supply broke, resulting in a leak that penetrated the ceiling in the dining room.Another leak occurred through the light fittings in the kitchen and hall, due to an oversight by Peter not capping off an open pipe when the water was turned on after altering the plumbing.A third small leak through the light fittings at the back of the kitchen occurred when Peter altered the waste plumbing and an existing connection was accidently dislodged, allowing some residual water to escape. All this occurred in the first few days and left us wondering about Peter's ability as a fitter.Peter faced another challenge in that the shower base supplied was unsuitable because it did not leave enough clearance for the fall of the waste pipe. Peter resolved this with Bolton Bathrooms and fitted a different shower base, on supports.Another snag was that the tap fitting was unsuitable for the basin provided. Again, Peter overcame this by obtaining a different tap from Bolton Bathrooms, which, although more expensive, was provided at the same price. The tiling and the fitting of the bath screen, Mira shower (which I provided) and furniture, complete with quartz top, was excellent. Peter also fitted the large cupboard with illuminated mirror doors and wired it to an electrical connection from the loft I had provided but not yet wired in to the supply. (I did so after the fitting was completed. I qualified as an electronics engineer.)The shower seat we had chosen could not be fitted for technical reasons and we decided to keep and use the shower stool we already had instead. The end result was worth all the inconvenience and after a shaky start, Peter had certainly redeemed himself.A lady at Bolton bathrooms was most helpful in providing us for a refund for items that were surplus to requirements after completion.Without the leaks, I would have rated this experience with five stars I and have no hesitation in recommending Bolton Bathrooms.
Mandy was really helpful from start to finish. Tom the fitter was fantastic nothing was too much trouble thank you Liz
Mandy at Bolton Bathrooms was our first contact in refitting the bathroom, and was a great help very patient and efficient. Brian and Josh worked very well and did an excellent job without a lot of intrusion.Very very happy with the finished result.Highly recommend,
Paid £3k for a walk-in shower 5 years ago. It didn't work properly from the start and now it doesn't work at all. Contacted Bolton Bathrooms, but they're not interested - fobbed us off when we phoned and didn't answer emails . Very poor after-sales customer care.
Would give no stars as broke our garage door. The shop staff were rude and aggressive. Did not offer any help at all.
In order to be most useful to other consumers, I will stick purely to incontrovertible facts which cannot be disputed by anyone. Here is a selection of some of our experiences during the installation of our new bathroom : 1) wrong floor tiles fitted which had to be taken up and re-fitted 2) wrong shower door fitted which was of vastly inferior specification and value from that which was ordered and purchased 3) installation of new ceiling panels spoiled by an unsightly repair which required complete removal of new ceiling and installation of a replacement new ceiling 4) flush lever on toilet incorrectly fitted and didn’t function properly and flushing mechanism incorrectly set 5) plumbing for shower and handset incorrectly installed the wrong way round 6) Extractor fan placed upside down and left hanging out of wall and with no grill fitted. Fan stopped working after three months 7) Radiator pipes bent to force-fit in place and radiator leaking 8) mechanism on hot tap on sink not working and cold tap loose 9) sink leaking into cabinet below where tap mixer unit is fixed to sink worksurface 10) Incorrect thermostat fitted for underfloor heating 11) No sealant around sink unit 12) fixing of handset hose to wall leaking and fixing of handset shower-head to wall loose 13) damage to sink during radiator repair and shower door handle loose. A number of other minor defects could be added to this list. Five months after installation, we are still left with a leaking sink, the wrong thermostat and the shower and handset plumbed in the wrong way round. In order to try and bring this to a satisfactory conclusion, I have attempted to contact the managing director of the company to arrange a meeting but to date I have received no response.
