Think Twice!
It tells you alot when the food for purchase wouldn't be suited for a dogs consumption! The workers cooking and serving the food are just as tuned out as management. Burgers, fries or tenders in the waterpark are all horrible! The Wood Coal Pizza place closed an hour early on Saturday with no regard to 10pm closing time detailed on the hotels site. When confronted they said, "we ran out of food", OUTRAGEOUS. With hungry kids we headed to Trail Pub and they had a 1 1/2 hr wait time, same as lunchtime. This time we weren't walking away as in the afternoon and my husband asked, "Can we order it to go"? The hostess said, "Yes, just head to the bar they will help you". If this option would have been suggested to others or even us in the afternoon we would have surely done it. Why wasn't it? At the bar, we found to boys eating as their parents stood watch, obviously in the same dilemma we were in, kids hungry with little options available. Upstairs there are 2-3 eateries CLOSED and a 1.5 hr wait for a table at the Trail Pub. The food is good at the Trail Pub but a 1.5 hr wait is not acceptable. This is how this place is run, the entire hotel-from the waterpark, arcade, restaurants, and even the parking lot!People staying in the hotel, be prepared they cater to those who ONLY go to the waterpark, you overnighters will be left driving around looking for scarce parking spots and NO ONE CARES! I watched from my room balcony the frustration of many guests as they drove chaotic scrambling for a spot.My 2bdrm condo stunk of Indian CURRY! If a hotel is to have a full kitchen, housekeeping should at the very least assure the room does not have a penetrating and to some unappealing stench before the new guests arrive. If not possible, then UPGRADE the guest and EAT THE COST!I must also warn guests that those who visit the waterpark for the day have a very odd habit, one that I never saw ever in any of the other indoor or outdoor waterparks that my family have visited: If you place your towels on the lounge chairs, they will literally move them and put their belongs in its place, if the towels are dry they will take them for their own use, utterly ridiculous! We've been to Kalahari, Great Wolf, Kartrite and other smaller park and NEVER seen this low level garbage!Another thing, management obviously is so desperate to get cabanas rented they offer them so cheap that day visitors swarm them and overnight guests have no chance. We had 4 VIP lounge chairs that were more expensive than the cabanas with fridge, TV, etc...To summarize, if an establishment who touts itself as a family resort but, does little to cater to the family and has those who work for them just as unfocused over the mission at hand, its not one you should patronize, as for my family of 4 from NYC who drove 2 hrs we wont ever again and make sure everyone we know wont either.
