Too much OUTDATED material
Many of the courses have outdated material. The courses do not supply dates of when the course was posted. You won't know until you are in the course and notice the material is years old (which is a large time frame in my industry - IT). The seem to not monitor the course content. I have taken courses that have mistakes, tried contacting the instructors; but never get any reply. Just my opinion but talk to any employer, a course certificate from Coursera is meaningless. Just my opinion based on my experience.

It’s a scam they charge your credit…
It’s a scam they charge your credit card monthly without sending any emailed receipts with proof of payment so you don’t actually know you are paying for anything unless you check your statements regularly. It is underhand and a stealth charge. Extremely dissatisfied with the lack of transparency with Coursera. You know when a company makes it hard to talk to anyone that they are taking advantage of hard working individuals who are trying to better themselves. They are taking money in a sneaky way when we are all trying to pay our bills and keep our heads above water in the expensive world we live in today.

This company is a scam buyer beware!
I wish I could give this company a zero! The company is a scam! I highly recommend not giving them your credit card information, look elsewhere and protect your information.

Not what I hoped
I tried Coursera for few courses, some were ok, some not so good. Many classes feel too long and boring, and not always updated. Sometimes teachers just read slides and that’s all. The app is also buggy, it log me out often. For free it’s fine, but paying feels not worth it.

Ts and Cs state we sholuld eligible for a refund within 14 days of purchase. Can't talk to anyone about getting the refund as the option isn't showing on the system and the ChatBot is useless.Almost at the end of the 14 days now!I just want to talk to someone who can help.

Terrible company!
Their customer service replied once to my email, but they don't want to help, and after that, they never responded again. Terrible company!

Stay away from this company.
Stay away from this company. I wanted to try this out but the courses are terrible and this is totally a scam. Refunds are basically impossible and their TOS sucks. Stay away!

Its a hard NO for any tech courses
For individual learning, its fairly useless. You get what you pay for and it's a relatively low cost monthly subscription. There are no actual instructors that will help if you get stuck on an assignment. It is bot run, so if you submit a question, a staff member will just repeat what the bot already suggested which is too vague to be of any help.

Very poor experience
Very poor experience. did course that offered certificate. Started off good, but got worse, but I persevered to get certificate. The course involved these "labs" - i.e. interactive tests. They didn't relate much to what had been taught, but they worked OK...until the end. Then the last four didn't work. Support was useless, just kept going round in circles. Wasted 90 hours learning and £76. Do not use Coursera.

This Company is a SCAM
This Company is a SCAM. Their support consists of a bot that sends you in circles until you give up. No way of cancelling subs and their courses carry no weight at work or on your CV. Do not fall for their fancy ads about how it will further your career doing their courses. Probably fake pics and reviews on their site too. DO NOT sign up for their subs. You will not be able to cancel it and they will continue to debit your account. BE WARNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They outright discriminate against women in the workplace.

Impossible to contact the company to reset password or cancel a paid subscription
While the courses are fine, contacting the company is impossible. I am being charged on a monthly basis but I have been unable to log on or reset my password from the website or the app. There does NOT seem to be a way to directly contact customer service to resolve this issues or cancel the subscription. Terrible service!Update: I have since sorted out the logging problem. Interstingly, I discovered that opting out of receiving emails from coursera (which I assumed were to do with marketing ones), also stops the user from receiving email with links to reset the password which is incredible! I've raised a formal complaint, as I am paying for the monthly membership but I have not had access to courses for a few weeks. Let's see if they take the complaint seriously.

BEWARE: Impossible to cancel subscription and no way to escalate or resolve
If I could give it zeros stars, I would. I signed up for a trial, which converted to a paid subscription. They have been charging me $115/mo, but I am unable to cancel the subscription. When I log into my profile and follow all their online instructions, my accounts shows no purchases, and no transactions. And yet...they're billing me $115/month. There is no way to escalate. There is no way to contact a person. It's just a chatbot with the exact same instructions that don't work. So....I am stuck. I'll now have to raise a complaint with my bank and possibly cancel my credit card. What a nightmare

Coursera is charging me $79/month
Coursera is charging me $79/monthCoursera is charging me $79/month, and I can't actually get into the account that is associated with this charge because when I enter the email I set the account up under and click the "forgot my password" link to be sent an email, I never get the password reset email.I have written customer support twice, with no response. There's no phone number to call - FOR A PAYING MEMBER OF THEIR SERVICE? Are they KIDDING ME?I am going to call my bank and report the charge as fraudulent in the next day or two if I don't hear back from them.TERRIBLE service. Simply terrible.

Egregious Customer Service!
I'm signed up under the Plus Program and have been actively involved in multiple certificate courses. I'm a physician with a deadline to return to the hospital within the next week or so and really wanted to complete the courses this week to allow myself some time to rest and enjoy my family before returning to work. Although my credit card is current/bill paid - no discrepancies - I was not able to log into my academic account this past Monday (approximately 3 days prior to writing this review). Upon further review, I discovered my account had been inactivated. I immediately sent a support ticket and was impressed with how quickly I received a response asking for a screenshot so the problem could be resolved in order to get me back into the learning module.I stopped what I was doing and beyond a screenshot, I sent a shared-screen narrated video to make absolutely sure they saw the problem in order for them to provide expedited resolution. I continued to attempt logging into the software Tuesday, Wednesday and Today - with no success. A few moments prior to leaving this review, I received an alert from Mailtrack - THEY HAVEN'T EVEN OPENED MY EMAIL with the narrated video that I sent DAYS AGO! Needless to say, they are not working on resolving my problem. I consider this to be the rudest and most inconsiderate thing I've experienced during my endeavors of taking courses online. Even though they were AWARE of my personal deadline - I'm being charged DAILY for an inoperable learning platform - they obviously could care LESS!!! Wow! what a privilege - to have a job where you can just electively ignore your emails!!!! I have no problem with the content offered via Coursera (when I can access it); however, the customer service is egregiously rude and can care less about your personal goals, your academic achievements, your quests in life or your desired deadline to reach your accolades, achievements, and accomplishments in life.

I had a great experience
I hesitated for weeks before signing up to do a course on Coursera because of all the bad reviews. I finally put in my credit card info and started my 7 day free trial. In that time, I finished 2 very good courses and received my certificates. On the last day I cancelled my trial in one click and was not charged. I will go back to them when I am ready to continue the specialization.

3 years on Coursera, and contacting their CS is simply the worst.
I've been studying on Coursera for 3 years now. Even joined the "Coursera Plus" program as a nerd and learning passionate. Nevertheless, Coursera Support may be the worst also their FAQ should be updated based on their Product Team platform updates - I contacted Coursera Support 5 times about "how can I unroll to x course?", their Product Team must have released some update since with Coursera Plus it seems impossible to unroll... so I have 4 courses in my list which I'm not interested on taking, but I see them with the red alert symbol (since they have deadlines) but I can't unroll from which is a HORRIBLE user experience and DEMOTIVATE people to actually check their list of current courses...I gave 2 stars only because they have good courses but their Customer Support being the worst ever...
