Will not honor warranty on 2025 vehicle

On July 9th, Repair Order 6071015 stated that the dealership replaced a brake wear indicator on my front left wheel to fix a brake/suspension clunking noise. Initially, this resolved the issue. However, on August 4th, after a "factory trained technician" inspected my brakes, the clunking noise returned on my drive home. During a recorded phone call with Toyota corporate on August 5th at 2:06pm Central Time, the service director revealed that contrary to what was documented on the Repair Order, they had actually only attempted to bend the part to "restore spring tension" rather than replacing it as stated. The attached video shows evidence consistent with bending rather than replacement. It's possible the technician also made an error during reassembly after the August 4th inspection.Despite the recurring issue, the dealership refuses to fix it - they won't even allow me to pay for the repair myself.Additional problems discovered during the August 4th service:The Field Service Technician (described by Daniel Briggs as "one of the most brilliant people I've ever met") failed to apply brake grease to any brake hardware, resulting in squeaks, squeals, and ticking sounds over bumps. I was able to resolve most issues with brake grease myself, though I have an appointment at TCCN to complete the repairs.A persistent ticking noise from the rear when driving over bumps or turning right was caused by a caliper sliding pin/guide pin bolt that was left slightly loose. I was able to fix this by gently tightening it myself.I attempted to follow up based on Greg Luzinski's recommendation from a previous review, but was unsuccessful in getting resolution. The service leadership team, including Daniel Briggs and Marc Collura, have been unwilling to address these multiple service failures appropriately. My car left their service department in far worse shape than it entered.

This review is only for the parts…

This review is only for the parts department. The online parts people are sub intelligent and dumb af. So I used to be a customer of this crappy business. Most of my orders are for parts and I order them online from their website. I ordered a part online that was NOT the right fit. I realized my mistake and try to cancel before the order is completed or picked up. The guy never returns my calls or messages. Then I get a survey in the email where I voice my opinions about how their policies suck as well as their online service. They anyways charge me a few hundred for a “restocking fee”.Time goes along and I order more parts as they are closer to my home. All is fine until a few orders. After a few orders are completed, the schmuck who handles online accounts realizes that he got a bad review from me and decides to block my account. When I call and call and call, this fool John comes on the phone after a good bit of hiding and confesses that he blocked my account because of my negative feedback earlier which I honestly had written thinking it was their survey to make things better at their business. What a loser and then I ask him if it’s fair, he says he got the orders from management. What a bunch of losers both managers and schmucks. Don’t go here and John, fyi you are a disgrace and too thin skinned to take even a small criticism. Don’t worry about me, there are a lot of good Toyota dealers who deserve a good paying customer who has multiple Toyota vehicles. It’s your loss

Dishonest parts supplier

Ordered a part that turned out to be unusable. They said (in an email) that I could return it minus the restocking fee. When I said I'd like to do that, they said no because it was "special order." Interesting how a part for a 2004 vehicle can be both "new" and "special order" yet be falling apart upon arrival.

Experience with Elmhurst Toyota was horrible - bordered on fraud

This has to be one of the worst, most unethical new car dealerships I have ever been to. I visited this dealership having already done all the research I needed to in order to buy a 2017 RAV4 XLW AWD for my daughter. This may be a long review, but trust me you want to read it before you think about doing business with these guys - and I have pictures to prove how dirty they are.I immediately told the sales person that I had NO time to waste, I know what options I wanted, I knew the color that I wanted, I knew the sticker price of the car I want, I had 2 offers that were aggressive and I was willing to buy on the spot if they offered the best price. Obviously they wanted to know what offer I had and I said no. I was not going to waste time going back and forth to have each dealer beat the other offer by $50. They had a shot to give me an aggressive price -if its good I buy. If it's not I walk. The car they had had a sticker price of $30,352, which is the same as the other dealerships. I asked for the out the door price - including ALL tax, title, plates, etc. I felt like they knew I was serious and was initially encouraged when they came back with an out the door price of $27,133. It was close to the lowest price and very competitive-enough so to make a counteroffer. I told the sales guy if they accept $26,500 I will buy it now. He asked me to sign on that offer - which I did. He came back and said they best they could do is $26,816. It was $100 better than my lowest offer, so, I accepted verbally and called my daughter so we can wrap up the deal. This is where these dirt bags go completely unethical. As we are writing up the deal and discussing upgrades like auto start etc, these scum bags pull a classic "bait & switch". They now tell me the offer they made was not on the car we test drove, but the base model with a lower sticker price! Keep in mind...we never discussed or looked at another car other than the one with a sticker price of $30,352. The funny thing is that unbeknownst to them I took a cell phone picture of both the deal sheet of the car we were discussing as well as the offer they asked me to sign which documents the "deal". If I can, I will post the images so you (as well as the dirt bags at Elmhurst Toyota) can see what a bunch of idiots they are.Long story. I went to Oakbrook Toyota. Showed them the pictures and explained the story and bought the car from there. Folks, they experience is night and day. The two dealerships are close distance apart. Do yourself a favor and go to Oakbrook Toyota. They are so much more honest, ethical and fair to deal with. Bottom line. It's not worth the risk doing business with someone who will waste your time and is not honorable or honest.
