I purchased a replacement gazebo cover…

I purchased a replacement gazebo cover in June 2025 and installed it on July 4, 2025. On October 31, 2025, we went to our Vermont home and saw the cover ripped to shreds, including along the seams. It was windy, but not that windy. I wish I checked the reviews for this company before purchasing this product. It would have saved me money. Do not purchase anything from Garden Winds.

Bad materials

The material that Garden Winds uses is poor. We get two seasons(two months+) from each one. We always carefully take it down and store it. We've also tried fabric protector/waterproof spray with no improvement. Finding another option has been nearly impossible.

customer service

I purchased a canopy replacement in December and live in New York, I obviously did not install it till the spring,it has ripped in about 4 places and is not secure on the frame, when I send them photos and contacted them I was told since it is over 6 months old they will give me 50% off a new one,,it should be replaced completly since it was only actually less then 3 months, I will never use this company again..you should purchase elsewhere.

Not water resistant at all

Customer service was prompt and very helpful - The product they suggested is a perfect fit. But... photos do not show that canopy has drainage holes. That is an easy fix with rubber caps from Amazon (15 mm in diameter). I followed instructions, sprayed twice with Fabric Guard, used 2 bottles, let it dry completely. When the rain started canopy fabric lets the water through... :-(((

1st class in every respect!

This is a 1st class product from a first class company. They shipped my canopy within 1 hour of ordering and I had it in 6 days. Perfect hassle free installation and fit. The quality is over the top. Quick response to questions too. Hopefully I won’t need another for a while but would refer them to everyone!

The replacement Canopy I purchased did…

The replacement Canopy I purchased did not fit, it was too small. I contacted GardenWinds, I was told I purchased the correct canopy for my swing, but they would not replace it, If I purchased the correct one, and it doesn't fit, then the canopy was not made to correct specs. and they should send me another. If they sell a defective product they should stand behind it

Top of the gazebo replacement does not…

Top of the gazebo replacement does not fit frame. Also, 2 days after receiving replacement an email came from them for 20% off. They would not honor it. I strongly recommend not purchasing from this company.

We just bought our second Garden Winds…

We just bought our second Garden Winds replacement canopy for our 12 x 12 Coleman screen tent with metal supports. Our Garden Winds canopy was far superior to the Coleman canopy which only lasted 2-3 years. I put it that way because the Coleman canopy barely made it through the 3rd year. The material and workmanship of the Garden Winds canopy was far superior. The last canopy lasted 5 - 6 years. It was up all summer and withstood some heavy winds. There is one other thing I did, that definitely prolonged the life of the Garden Winds canopy. I stretched a tarp over the Garden Winds canopy to greatly reduce UV damage with led to the early demise of the Coleman canopy. By the middle of the 3rd year its roof was like tissue paper. Without the tarp the Garden Winds canopy probably would have only lasted 4 years.

BUYER BEWARE!!!

I purchased a replacement canopy for our gazebo 'Rip-Lock'. While removing it for Winter the pockets ripped. After 1 season!!! It was only up for 3 months. I even sprayed it with a UV protectant. After going back and forth with them they said that they would give me a percentage off to replace it. Even though it's still under a year old. I see why they aren't a BBB company...

Not a quality product

Purchased a replacement canopy in Oct. 2023. Installed it at the beginning of the summer of 2024. By the end of the summer, the netting had ripped. Thought I had purchased in Nov and did not realize that I had a deadline to qualify for warranty. Now it's too late and they do not want to honor the warranty. I would have paid 50% to get another. They refused.

Secondary home software glitch

We wanted a part for our umbrella located in our seasonal residence….but could not because the credit card page required our home address zip code. This software mistake excludes millions of people that have a second home.

Fits but doesn't stay on

The only good thing is that the canopy fits the shape of the frame, but it doesn't stay on. I'm still laughing about their instructions to add extra grommet holes, remove it when expecting harsh weather, and spray it myself with a fabric guard. You'd be better off to buy a tarp (like we did before) and tie it onto your canopy frame.

Replacement Canopy for Costco Swing

I needed a replacement canopy for swing purchased at Costco. Manufacturer recommended this company. Ordered and received giving them the picture of the label that came with it. Had to wait about a month to install due to weather. When trying to install, realized the length was too short. Called customer service who said leave it in the sun and it should stretch. Did so for about 2 weeks. Stretched about an inch more but all in all, the canopy was about 4-5 inches too short. Even with sunning the fabric, it never would have stretched as far as it needed to. When I asked about a refund, they told me I had to return it inside of 2 weeks of the order. So now I have a $100 canopy I cannot use which is junk fabric. PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. I don’t know who they have manufacturing this item but it is probably Chinese junk!

Very Poor Quality

The small canopy I purchased for $121 only lasted a single summer. It didn't strike me as great quality when I installed it the first time, but I figured I would at least get 2-3 summers out of it. By the following year, it was so brittle it easily tore at the seems when installing it. I contacted the company, they do not stand behind their products and brushed me off. I'll find every place I can to review them and give them 1 star.

I recently purchased a replacement…

I recently purchased a replacement canopy from Garden Winds. Unfortunately, my latest purchase is disappointing. I’ve purchased from them in the past and the quality has been substantial, but this time, it fell short. The fabric is thinner, and the stitching is already showing signs of wear and tear. The canopy size appears slightly smaller than expected, making it almost impossible to install without tearing. It seems that the current canopy reflects the broader trend of “shrinkflation,” where products decrease in quality/size while the price increases. Looking at other online reviews from customers, they share a similar experience. I wish I would have done my research before ordering. Regrettably, I won’t be purchasing from Garden Winds again.

May last a summer?? !

Pros: So the canopy looks like better quality than the original in that the material is sturdier and there are holes for water. Cons. When installing it, it was clear the gazebo was sown a bit too tight? It was impossible to fit, and the grommets are cheap crap that flew off with the least pressure. So USD 175 or CAD 200+ for this canopy which will only make it one summer. I hope!!!
