Fidelity National Home Warranty is a Scam

I haven't had a working refrigerator for over a month. They have made two trips and replaced two different parts. They lied and told me it's under warranty with Samsung so they have to keep replacing parts instead of honoring the warranty I bought. I called Samsung and it's out of warranty. They're fraudsters. Stay away!

Claimed I physically abused my dishwasher??

Denied to pay for a broken part in my dishwasher claiming it was caused by physical abuse. Who is out there physically abusing their dishwasher? They refused to consider my dispute that it was caused by wear and tear. This is the 3rd time they have found a way to get out of paying and I am done. Whats the point?

Total waste of time and money - AVOID at all costs

Total waste of time and money. We had a home warranty for the purchase of our house, and a few months after we moved in, the furnace stopped working. It needed to be replaced. You would think "that's why we got a warranty", right? Wrong. I spent months negotiating back and forth - literally dozens of follow up calls and emails. They sent out one person to evaluate it and they ghosted them and us and never responded. I had to pay out of pocket at one point to get a furnace expert out and they said it was a classic case of a furnace that needed to be replaced and could not be repaired because it was a fire hazard. After these many months of negotiating, their liability was CAPPED at just around $1,500 - which was less than 10% of what it will cost us to replace the heating system. So my family and my kids have been without a heating source (we've been using space heaters) while we save up money to pay for the furnace. That's EXACTLY what you intend to avoid when you purchase a home warranty but because of the fine print capping their liability to a tiny fraction of what you have to pay out of pocket.

Horrible and fraudulent company

I would give them 0 star. Stay away. Just a horrible company that it has become. We used it for 10+ years for multiple homes we own. They were actually a decent company a few years ago. Now, I wouldn't touch them even for half a price. We cancelled all plans. This is not a warranty company anymore, but a fraud - because you will likely pay annual premium, then a call fee, and then end up repairing things yourself. The pattern we see these days is the same. You place a service call. Then they send someone after some delay. The person stays for 5 minutes or so, without doing much. Then he leaves to get authorization and never returns. When you call FNHW, they will tell you we haven't received a report. When you call the tech, he says call FNHW. Days and weeks will go by until you give up. We lost a lot of money this year because of such a fraudulent scheme. In the event they give you permission to bring your own tech, they can disqualify you for any reason. They refused to pay a repair bill recently after months of wait in disrepair. In one home where we had a pipe leak, the tech came and opened the drywall to repair. FNHW was supposed to send someone to repair the drywall. It is now 2 months since they left it open. We had to cover it by paper. The time you spend calling them around numerous times (like 20+) is by itself enough to drop them for good. It is not worth it. I wish I could give you more cases and details but this should give you a pause. Thanks.

Urgent Leaking Toilet Fix

Leaking toilet causing water damage/ secondary damages to our electrical. We call it in as an emergency, and there is no urgent request at all. Was told that we should have a vendor within 4 hours, and don't hear from them. Call, & they tell me they're "working on it" and nothing else they can do. We can't escalate it, we can't call our own vendors & have it reimbursed until they find someone first ( which takes the entire day)Finally was able to call our own vendor. They refuse to give us a reimbursement stating it's not covered due to "improper installation", when our contract clearly states that "improper installation will be covered".They make you pay for warranty & will attempt to screw you over & not pay for anything. Not sure what the point of this warranty insurance, if it just causes more damage to our place when there's an urgent request for a fix.

Stay away from Fidelity National Home Warranty!

Poor customer service, our AC stopped working they dispatched a company out. The company ruled out a part needed fixed fidelity said they don’t cover that part and now we don’t have air conditioning. So i pay all this time the premium bit zero service provided. They charged $75 to dispatch a company to my house just to tel me they will not fix my AC. I told fidelity you can charge me for the part but get cool air flowing in my house but they simply denied and said I have to hire the company on my own to fix this. I really hope to see a lawsuit on them and get all my money back.

Poor Customer Service and Company doesn't pay service providers

I have had Fidelity Home Warranty for two years for my condo at ($525 per year). My garage door needed repair and I requested for service online and was provided with a garage repair company and phone number. I had to pay the $75 fee to request repair. Instructions stated to wait for the garage company to call. I waited the 24 hours then called the company to request a service repair. The garage repair company stated that Home Warranty had not sent them the order to repair. I immediately called Home Warranty and waited 35 minutes on the phone and no one answered. There was another phone number on the website that I called and five minutes Alexa picked up and assisted me. She placed the order and sent an email to the garage repair and told me to wait 3 hours to get an appointment. I waited the 3 hours then called the garage repair and scheduled an appointment for the next day. The following day no one showed up and I called the garage repair and was told that Home Warranty had some outstanding payments and refused to come out! I called customer service and the number is out of service!

Stay away from this company

Stay away from this company. They will do everything they can to not pay a claim. They hide behind their find print as much as possible. Also, the network for HVAC and Appliances is awful. The closest service providers are not in my city which means it takes days and days to get someone out (and I live in Austin TX). As one example, itt took them four months to repair my oven which was not working the entire time. They refused to do anything else so you, as the customer, are stuck until they have exhausted all of the Ts &Cs and never care that the home they are covering is without an oven for months. In the end, they had to replace it. Another example, my garage door used "commercial" springs for some reason. A spring broke, which is completely covered but since it was a commercial spring and not a residential spring, they denied the entire claim. I suggested that I will cover the difference between the cost of a commercial spring vs a residential spring. They said "our Ts and Cs say that we don't cover Commerical springs so the entire claim is denied. Do not give this company your money.

I was paying into them for 13 years

I was paying into them for 13 years, and then, when you need help, they don't even warn you that for the issue you have you have no warranty if you do not have a service per year. But rather after describing the problem they take $75 for a professional. And the professional they send tells you that this is a service issue and that you have to pay for it. So, do not trust them! They only try to get your money. I will never again pay them anything. And no-one should.

Completely unimpressed

I am completely unimpressed with Fidelity. Our kitchen faucet broke and they wouldn’t cover a comparable replacement. They only cover standard grade faucets, so no matter how much you spent on upgrading your faucet, they will only give you the bottom line product as a replacement. They won’t even give you the same faucet in a different color. Just the standard. That’s it. Think of it this way—you get in an accident with your black car and the car repair place will only paint the repaired part of your car white because that’s standard. Who does that???

Don't use Fidelity or homewarranty.com

Don't use Fidelity or .homewarranty.com This company is the worse. They take advantage of good hard working individuals who pay for Waranty's because they buy older homes. I don't know about you but I work hard for my money. I expect to be treated with respect by companies who I give my money to. I expect to not get taken advantage by a fraudulent home warranty company who takes your money and denies your claims even with second opinions. I bought a used home and several things have gone wrong. Each time they send a worker out charge me a copay then deny my claim. I get second oppenions out of my own money they won't even acknowledge them. I even got told off my their so called manager names Tara. She was so rude and has now refused to even call me back or answer my emails. I am just told their is no one else I can talk to. Trust me my friend family agent sellers home buyers and whoever else I can get the word out to will never do business with this company again. We are getting together with other buyers to file a claim of insurance fraud. I have never seen a good positive review of this company and I wish I never used them when I bought my house. They don't even give you an opertunity to cancel your policy they say no refund aloud.
