Great location
Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. We travelled and lots of luggage and despite the stairs up to the elevator this was one of the nicest places we stayed

Simply breathtaking.
Simply breathtaking.My wife, baby girl and I, just spend easter in Ilulissat at Hotel Arctic, and it was simply amazing. Qualified staff is a substantial challenge here in Greenland, but the staff at Hotel Arctic is exceptional, and can match the standarts worldwide. Friendly, smiling, serviceminded and foremost of all competent. Travelling northern Greenland in the winther can be a logistical challenge, and the supply ship, had not arrived in 3 months, due to the ice, so grocerys, especially fresh vegetables and dairy was in shortage. How ever we could not feel the impact of the supply situation at the hotels restaurant. Great breakfeast buffet, and amazing dining. All meals had some local greenlandic ingredients in it. Every day freshly caught fish which local fishermen delivered to the hotel. We could see them arriving with their catch of the day. The chef, checking the quality, and quantity he needed, and the fisher going to the bar, having a beer, before he returned home. I sat down with one of them, one day, and had a nice conversation about the traditional hunter/fishing culture. A very nice experience. We brought our 14 month old babygirl, and everything worked fine. A complimentary bed for her, and a stroller, and the staff was extremely friendly towards our challenges with such a small baby. Especially the waiters in the restaurant and the chef, took very good care of our needs. All in all, we can highly recommend staying at Hotel Arctic. Probably the best hotel in Greenland.
