This company totally dropped the ball…

This company totally dropped the ball on my order of a Christmas gift for my family to share on Christmas Eve. Although I ordered weeks in advance and received an order confirmation, they never shipped, and when I contacted them on the date that the order was scheduled for delivery, they told me they were "running behind" and had not shipped yet. I told them to cancel it and I would shop elsewhere.

Much SAFER if you DONT order!

I have ordered here before with ....mostly......good results. Have not ordered in a long time because they started to want a REDICULOUS amount of money for shipping a low priced item. This current order: I found a "bundle" with a free shipping additive. O.K. What they shipped to me did NOT remotely resemble what was supposed to be in that collection, totally missing some, some arrived TOTALLY SPOILED MOLDY ROTTEN. Took me FOUR days to get through by phone. Nice lady, gladly reship missing. Except when it did arrive, it was STILL MISSING an item, two others inedible. That time I emailed. Couldn't waste more time trying to get through on the phone. My mistake. Now the customer service email recipient wants ME to take a "picture" of what I did receive so the "team" can figure out what went wrong.....Duh! This response about 2 days after my email sent, and now over a week after original. So, I informed her that what I did receive was long since eaten.,,,,Duh!. Her response: 'there is a product list and contact information in the shipment,(like I didn't know this)(I'm old not stupid), so that if there is a problem, to call or email right away. Her word was "immediately.". I informed her when you can't get through on the phone for FOUR DAYS, .....NOT feasible!, much less possible. Email response, no quicker. Did you think I bought this cheese to sit in the fridge for days and was even available for pictures. ( as if "I" am supposed to help them fix THEIR screwup)...was the idiotic response I got. I let her know it. Finally, I just got an email the item missing is shipped. Oh, and we'll be happy to replace it shipping free of charge. Like she's doing me a favor...Duh.... I don't have it YET. For what it's worth, one of the missing items from the original order bundle happened to be some 'flatbread' I'm not sure if it was stale or supposed to be so hard as to be inedible. I will toss it to the squirrels. Probably the package of crackers also. I'm too afraid to try to eat those. I submitted a review on their own website, to which they took exception. I haven't looked, but I'll bet they don't post it. So, I came here. I RARELY review. This was begging for the truth about the level of service the IGOURMET as it exists now, has deteriorated to. ON ALL LEVELS : I.t, telephone merry go round, packing, shipping, live person customer service, ...top to bottom.As I opened with, it....WAS!.... fairly OK. No longer. No more. I'll go without before I subject myself to the aggravation of this incompetence EVER again.Buyer beVERYaware!!!

An absolute joke

An absolute joke. This company can't get deliveries out for one of their busiest holidays of the year.Placed an order on 12-10-24. Received a confirmation for my paid order stating the order would be shipped between 12-16-24 and 12-20-24. I reached out to the company on 12-18-24 to see if order was shipped. Then again on 12-19-24. They finally responded that it had not shipped but would arrive by 12-24-24. I reached out again on 12-22-24. They responded it would be out by 12-23-24 for delivery on 12-24-24. Reached out today to find out that it didn't get shipped and was with "hundreds" of other orders. They are "trying" to ship by 12-30-24.This is the second time IGOURMET has dropped the ball for me. First time was 3 years ago to the same recipient, my BOSS! The value of this gift was almost $200.00. The value doesn't matter when it comes to delivering what is promised. They need to deliver what is ordered no matter what the cost. They offered me a 20% discount on my next order. They don't have to worry about me using the discount.In 2025 IGOURMET needs to come up with a tracking tool on it's web page, as well as maybe try to get ahead of problems such as they are experiencing. Their business model isn't all that difficult, but they seem to have a problem putting cheese, meats, crackers, and nuts in a small picnic basket and sending it out.

Failure to deliver gift on time

Ordered a Christmas cheese gift well in advance. Only to be told two days after it should have been delivered- that it won't make it in time for Christmas. Won't be back.

Ordered 2 gift baskets for Christmas

Ordered 2 gift baskets for Christmas. Both were to be delivered on the 19th. Today is the 20th, no package, no delivery email. I call company on the 20th to find out where package(s) are - They have not been shipped and won't be shipped until after Christmas! They blame Fed Ex... when asked why I wasn't notified until I called them, I'm told "she thinks an email went out yesterday." No email was sent, checked inbox (where I received order confirmation email(s)) and spam folder! This is awful and not acceptable. I placed this order over 2 weeks ago! Customer Service rep was somewhat apologetic and did issue refunds (that email arrived in inbox right away!)Overall suggestion don't count on this company to deliver ontime OR to communicate issues!

A very happy customer

I feel I should write to counter some of the very negative feedback that this company has received. By contrast, I was delighted by my own recent experience. I am in England and had wanted to send some Stilton as a birthday gift to Hawai’i (!). I started planning well in advance of the date. Having had my time wasted and been misled by several retailers about availability and/or delivery, I chanced upon igourmet.com. The website is comprehensive and clear, and had what I wanted. I emailed to ask about product and delivery and received an immediate and helpful answer. Sadly, between discovery and placing my order, the specific item I wanted had (temporarily) sold out. It happens! I selected the next best thing. Communication from igourmet.com was exemplary throughout. I was notified when the order was filled and had shipped, with an estimated delivery time. The company’s website was then being upgraded, and I was unable to track the package’s progress. It was then that I saw the negative Trustpilot reviews, and started to feel nervous about hitting the date, if at all. igourmet.com immediately referred me direct to the shipping agent’s website, and I was able to satisfy myself that the cheese had arrived right on schedule. Tracking across 11 time-zones, this was a concern.I was impressed by the professional service and, more importantly, my sister is thrilled with the cheese. I will certainly be using igourmet.com again. Thank you to all involved.

Don’t count on delivery as quoted

Before ordering consider UNTRUSTWORTHY delivery! If your order is a gift shop elsewhere for timely delivery. Customer service responded to send cheeses BUT no accounting for error. Beware!

Wish I'd read these reviews before ordering!

So, based solely on my experience with igourmet, I really had begun to suspect it is a scam. I ordered an expensive gift box days before their deadline for Christmas delivery. I was promised delivery between Dec 18-22nd and I was to receive an email when it shipped. When I hadn't received an email by the 19th, I called to confirm everything was still on schedule. I was assured it would be delivered by the 22nd. Customer Service rep said they would track package personally and send me an email before they left work with a status update. Never happened. When I still hadn't received the shipping email on the 22nd, I called again. I was told that it had been processed and was on the dock to be loaded into the FedEx truck that night and would be delivered on the 23rd. She said she upgraded my order to priority overnight shipping and it would for sure get there before Christmas. Customer Service rep said they would track package personally and send me an email before they left work with a status update. Never happened. Of course, I did not receive the shipping email either and they are closed on the weekend. So the gift never even shipped! Christmas was Monday and my friends had no gift, and I had no explanation except that igourmet had totally dropped the ball and was probably a scam. So I called (yet again!) Tuesday morning. Really nice but ineffectual customer service said they would ship it Tuesday for Wednesday delivery, for sure. Still did not ship. What is wrong with this company that they absolutely do not communicate back to the customer when there is an issue or a question or a problem? I guessed they were just stringing me along to see how long they could keep my money. Just as I called 1st thing Wednesday morning to cancel the whole thing, I received an email that it had shipped. Wrong! It actually did not go to Fedex until 4pm that afternoon. It FINALLY arrived Thursday after Christmas. Lest anyone is confused, this was NOT a "there were too many packages for Fedex to deliver" issue. This was an "Igourmet cannot get it out the door when promised" issue. Igourmet completely lost any repeat business from me, my companies and my friends and family. I will never ever trust igourmet again. I absolutely do NOT RECOMMEND ordering from this company. Doesn't matter if the product is good or not because they cannot be trusted to get it delivered when they say they will.

Horrible service

Horrible service! Ordered multiple baskets and only one was delivered on time. I ordered all baskets on December 3rd for Christmas delivery and paid in advance. I contacted them multiple times to ensure on time delivery because I had a similar issue last year. I was told no problem. The. I received an email on the 26th that delivery would be on the 27th or 28th. No explanation! No apology! This company is terrible.

Good service and fast delivery

I like the fact that I can order bulk paneer here. (Paneer is an Indian cheese.). I've also enjoyed other cheeses from here although they seem overpriced. For that reason I order only rarely.

Emmentaler was registered in 2000 as an appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) in Switzerland.[9][10][11] In 2013, it was replaced by the appellation d'origine protégée (AOP) certification AS A FORMER US CITIZEN WHO LIVED 4 YEARS IN FRIBOURG CANTON FROM WHERE WE COLDS SEE GRYUER CASTLE, LAC NEUCHATAL, PROXIME TO EMMETAL , THE GREAT CHEESE BASKET:). EMMENTAL IS NOT MADE NOT IN FRANCE, Baby Brie, Petit Brie, Mini Brie all are the same as the regular Brie, but their diameters are smaller, giving different names. Jmbon sec is not a variety of ham nor an apppellation controlle product. it is a process of which there are over 50 ways to dry aham and many varieties of PIGS.

Late delivery

I placed a Christmas order on December 12th for more than $200 ordering a couple of food boxes to be delivered to my son in LA on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately the package was not shipped until late on December 23rd and so it missed the deadline.However, the company was very apologetic and because the package contained some perishables, they re-sent those elements at no extra cost.

Bought the 6 month cheese subscription…

Bought the 6 month cheese subscription mid December for Christmas delivery. Received an Email that read "Your order #S956175 was shipped out on 12/23/2022. You can track your package at any time using the button below." TOTAL BS. According to Fedex, a label was created on Dec 23 (i.e. not even on time for a Dec 23 delivery!!) and Fedex still has not received the package as of Dec. 26). Poor shipping department. C'mon!! Creating a label on Dec 23.. the requested date of delivery???

Spent over $130 for a 4.5 lb rib roast. Wasted Money

Spent over $130 for a 4.5 lb rib roast. Was saving for a special occasion. After having it in my freezer for a few months I pull it out and the vacuum seal was bad. Freezer burn and ruined. Contacted them over a week ago, even sent photo's. Have not heard back. They say they are BBB accredited. Can't find them on BBB's web site. Have been on hold for an hour trying to talk to someone. Not happening. If I new how and it didn't cost much I would sue just for the principal. May look into it.

Dismal

Dismal. Ordered a ham. Paid for overnight delivery to address in Florida. A week later and our ham was on the other side of the USA (Indianapolis). They offered us a refund on the overnight delivery fee. We declined. Under duress they provided the full refund we demanded.

Never Again

I like to give opportunity where I can. But, the reviews of the non-existent customer service are so correct, in this case. Not pleasant, curt, unresponsive to their own error! Never again. Too many other better rated businesses to choose same items from.

I would give zero stars if I could

I would give zero stars if I could. A couple of weeks ago, I ordered turkey dinner for two for Thanksgiving to be delivered the day before Thanksgiving for my sister and her husband who are both ill. Today (two days before Thanksgiving), they sent me an email saying that they didn't receive delivery of the Thanksgiving dinners, so they would have to cancel my order! What can you get two days before Thanksgiving? Nothing. I will never order anything from them again. My sister was so excited about this when I told her and now I have to call and tell her they cancelled. I could cry.
