Top Car Care
I highly recommend the Meineke Car Care Center in Gulfport, FL. I appreciate their honesty and work quality, and Saturday appointments have made them my go-to mechanic. Maybe not all Meineke shops can compare, but this one is definitely 10/10.

OFFICIAL WARNING to all potential future customers of Meineke
Based on my personal experience with three different Meineke locations in January 2026, and the subsequent formal written complaints submitted to Meineke headquarters, I hereby issue this official warning.Despite my clear and repeated request for a written explanation regarding serious deficiencies in connection with a basic service (an oil change), Meineke has refused to provide any written response. Instead, I have been subjected to persistent and unwanted phone calls, starting as early as 7:00 a.m. and occurring multiple times per day, even after explicitly requesting not to be contacted by phone. The situation culminated in a final phone call in which the Meineke representative asked me what they were supposed to do and what the matter was about despite the fact that my written complaint regarding Meineke’s service deficiencies spans over a full page. When I reiterated that I expect a written statement, I was explicitly told:
“We do not have the capacity to respond to you in writing. Have a great day.”
The call was then terminated. This conduct demonstrates a blatant disregard for customers, is unprofessional, and borders on harassment. It is particularly notable that Meineke apparently has ample time to repeatedly call me, yet claims to lack the capacity to provide a written response to documented service complaints. The reactions of the individual Meineke locations were equally unacceptable. Customers are simply referred to a hotline that appears unaware of the issues and repeatedly asks, “What do you actually want?”The standard response from Meineke locations is repeatedly more or less the same, for example:“We’re sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you taking the time to share it. At Meineke in Las Vegas, we’re committed to quality brake repairs, tire services, oil changes, and inspections. We’d like the opportunity to help make things right—please contact us at (800) 447-3070.”However, this is precisely where the problem lies. What I experienced was not quality service, but rather systematic customer deception, both at the individual franchise level and at the corporate headquarters.Based on my experience, the systematic humiliation and disregard of the customer appear to be a top priority, rather than accountability, transparency, or genuine resolution of documented service failures. As a result of this behavior, I will now file formal complaints with the following authorities:-Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)
Occupational & Business Licensing / Compliance Enforcement Division-Nevada Attorney General / Bureau of Consumer Protection-Better Business Bureau (BBB)I am confident that Meineke will then suddenly find the capacity to issue a written response. It is regrettable that escalation to regulatory authorities has become necessary, but this outcome is the direct result of Meineke’s own actions and refusal to engage professionally and transparently.

This shop put my life in risk
Beware. This place lacks of ethics, transparency and their manager is not an honest person.I took my SUV to Meineke to replace the oil cooler. After picking it up, the vehicle was leaking power steering fluid and coolant badly.I returned to the shop, but they kept my vehicle all day and claimed there were no leaks, even though the leaks were obvious. I even went below my truck and pointed out myself at the liquid falling of the motor and was then when they "saw" the leak and asked me to return on Monday "as there were no mechanics to do the job on that day". When I came back the following Monday, they refused to fix the damage and blamed it on the age of the vehicle.I took my car to a different mechanic and later confirmed that when Meineke mechanic removed the power steering fluid container, damaged the power steering reservoir gasket and installed incorrect gaskets, causing the power steering leak, which later damaged a coolant line gasket. So I needed to pay another mechanic to fix the damages done by Meineke. Driving a vehicle with a power steering leak is extremely dangerous. If the fluid had completely drained while I was driving, I could have lost steering control and been in a serious accident. A coolant leak can also cause severe engine overheating and permanent engine damage. They put my life at risk and then refused to take responsibility for the damage they caused.Based on my experience this shop lacks experienced mechanics and refuses to take responsibility for their mistakes. I do not recommend this location. Will report them to DACO and the BBB as soon as I get my car back.

They overcharged and failed to deliver…
They overcharged and failed to deliver on their promises. They’re lazy, take advantage of customers, and honestly, you shouldn’t take your car there. They should shut down if they’re not willing to do the work people pay for. I’m extremely disappointed — they’re just awful.

Meineke Guaynabo
Meineke Guaynabo, PR.Dishonest! Be careful and watch out with these people!Poor work quality! I had to return the car several times after being repaired, due to a work badly done. Extremely Pricey! They overcharge for any service or parts provided, and the prices are extremely expensive for their poor services.Do not trust them! They charged high prices for original parts, that caused additional failures and problems because they were not original parts as they said!Panic button! They touch your panic button to scare you with a very worrying argument, to make you accept their services right away, specially if you are a woman!!! Irresponsible people! They do not take responsibility when their service is badly done. They play you with words and arguments.I do not recommend them at all! But if you go to them, I suggest you to go for a second opinion. Thanks!-----‐------------Meineke Guaynabo, PR.Deshonestos! Los Peores!Baja Calidad! Gracias!

My experience at Meineke store 549 located at 4846 spruce street philly pa.
7/31/2025 Went to 4846 spruce street Meineken for a replacement of a valve cover gasket, engine valve cover gasket. The wait was 9 hours, they kept ordering/receiving the wrong parts, charge me for a wheel alignment that was never done and was not requested. The technician broke the valve cover gasket replacement part so that was part of the reordering. The staff are young men who spend more time at the front desk with the manager playing around very unprofessional. The waiting area is filthy the bathroom is a disgrace. To top it off, on 8/12/25 my breaks started making a grounding sound to the point I couldn't drive the car. I had it towed to jiffy lube who found it was an issue with the ABS system. The sensor at the RF wheel was found to be damaged- threads on bolt securing the abs sensor to steering knuckle. I had to pay to get the threads repaired and have the abs sensor properly installed.

Dangerous and extremely unprofessional experience - ripping cigarettes with open hood
We brought my wife’s car in for a coolant issue. They sent us a digital diagnostic report that was clear enough, so we approved the recommended work. A few hours later, they called and told us the car would be ready in 20 minutes, so we left home to pick it up. When we arrived, the shop was already closed, but the car was still in the bay with the hood up, and one of the two employees was smoking a cigarette while working on it. A mechanic smoking while working on a vehicle—especially with the hood up—isn’t just unprofessional; it’s genuinely dangerous. You’ve got open coolant lines, fuel vapors, possibly aerosolized brake or carb cleaner, oil residue, and battery gases. One spark or flicked ash could ignite fumes or damage wiring insulation. It’s a violation of OSHA and fire safety standards, and every legitimate shop knows that.It also tells you something about the shop’s culture. When someone’s comfortable lighting up in the bay, it usually means either management isn’t present or doesn’t care. That’s not a “one bad tech” issue—it’s a shop-level breakdown of discipline and oversight. When we asked how much longer it would take, the employee gave vague and conflicting answers, never apologized, and didn’t seem to know what was going on. At one point, he even suggested leaving our keys in the gas cap or under the tire overnight — which is absurd and unsafe in such a high crime area.Earlier in the day, the technician had also pressured us over the phone to make service decisions that cost thousands of dollars within “five minutes or it’ll be too late,” which felt manipulative and unprofessional. When we asked for a small discount to acknowledge the mix-ups and wasted time, they refused and said they’d already applied a $25 coupon. When we returned Monday to pick up the car, no one greeted us for several minutes, even though they saw us arrive. The overall experience was careless, poorly managed, and showed zero respect for customers’ time or safety. I’ll never return to this Meineke, and based on conversations with others afterward, this kind of behavior seems to be a pattern at this franchise. The cherry on top is all the addons and excessive upsells they pressure the customer into.

Get a second opinion before spending a dime
After many years of giving this company our business, we just found out that they recommended 2k worth of work that did not need to be done. We took our vehicle in because we suspected an issue. They confirmed confirmed what we suspected but also said we had another problem that needed to be addressed. $4500 estimate total. Sticker shock caused us to get a second opinion from an independent mechanic. He too confirmed the initial issue but told us there was absolutely nothing wrong with the other parts Meineke said needed to be repaired. Get a second opinion before you spend money here. Better yet, find a trustworthy mechanic so you don’t get swindled. We will NEVER give them our business again.

Poor service and complete lack of transparency
I am submitting a formal complaint regarding Meineke Car Care Centers at 100 Peachtree Road, Nicholasville, KY, for service on October 25, 2025.I was quoted 45 minutes for a mount and balance of four tires, yet the service took over three hours with no communication or explanation. One tire was installed incorrectly, requiring remounting and rebalancing. I was quoted $99 for TPMS, but the final charge for TPMS alone was $229.When I attempted to address these issues with the manager, they were dismissive and unprofessional. This level of service is unacceptable and does not reflect the advertised values of honesty, transparency, and customer care.I am requesting that this matter be reviewed by regional or corporate management and that I be contacted directly regarding corrective action. This experience caused significant disruption, and I hope Meineke takes the necessary steps to prevent this at other locations.

Terrible experience
Took my 2013 toyota tacoma in for oil change at Meineke in anderson indiana on scatterfield. Got a text that they would change 4 spark plugs for 500 dollars i declined ald coolant flush for 200 dollars i declined picked truck up oil change was almost 80 dollars after discount. Got home found a tire lug nut on my console. I called they said oh forgot to tell you took tire off to check brakes and they said the stud was stripped. Wanted to schedule to replace stud. I said no thanks I'll take it somewhere else. I'm sure the stud was not stripped before I took it in. I'll never go back to a mineke again. You have been warned beware of meineke.

My truck was towed to Meineke Car Care…
My truck was towed to Meineke Car Care Service, 8301 San Pedro, Alb., NM. Martin Segura promptly greeted me to diagnose the problem. It was an easy fix for him. He solved the problem and I was on my way in no time. I really appreciated this. Thank you Martin Segura.

If I could I would take away stars
If I could I would take away stars. This is one of the most expensive shops for repairs, worse than the dealership even. BEWARE! Their $184 diagnostic fee only covers 1 hr of troubleshooting. And they WILL NOT apply that charge to the cost of repairs. Stay away from this shady shop. I told them what I needed repaired, a simple $12 ignition coil connector and they insisted on having to diagnose anyway, so I let them. To their credit they did find the coil also needed replacement, but marked up that's a $40 part and it was easy to get to. They sent estimate, which was high, but I was willing to bite the bullet. The final bill was over 165% the estimate! Over $600!!!

Meineke warranty is not guaranteed by corporate Meineke.
Meineke (corporate) does not "make" or guarantee any warranties. Had vehicle suspension repaired at significant cost while traveling between separate states. Had immediate problems and attempted warranty service but the shop attempting the repairs was not supported by the original repair shop. Appeals to corporate were ignored. Took to small claims (both repair shops, as well as, Meineke Franchisor SPV LLC and Meineke Car Care Centers LLC). The case is ongoing, but court filings by the corporate Meineke affirm that their nationwide warranty is not guaranteed ("made") by them but rather each individual franchisee.
