Nice welcome but then downhill all the way after that

Nice welcome but then downhill....1 star off for lack of expertise by young scruffy staff.Another star off for poor food and drinks,not offered horseradish,mustard with beef and I could add more....And another off for tatty ,mismatched decor,all a bit grubby,glass on the yacht cabinet in the bar ,filthy...Also very poor access ,which can't be helped ,it's Cornwall ,but be warned....Finally despite offering gluten free some foods not available.Definitely favourouring residents,but really poor value for moneySadly won't be back .

Closed to non residents when full

Glad to read that the residents of this hotel have a great time. This is to warn walkers of the South West Coast Path that you can't rely on this hotel as a food or drink stop. We were turned away when we asked if we could have a coffee. Yes! You read that right... They were fully booked and turned us away. Keep walking guys and support the next place along - they will be thankful for your business!

We booked this hotel to celebrate our…50th Wedding Anniversary

We booked this hotel to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary and we’re not disappointed. The sea view room was lovely and the view of the sea from our room was fantastic! The food was great , the staff couldn’tdo enough for you and the dining room drawing room and lounges all have beautiful sea views! I would recommend this hotel to anyone as it has a very special welcoming atmosphere.

To see a person reduced to tears for…

To see a person reduced to tears for the want of a sandwich was simply outrageous, I witnessed this from outside and would say this hotel has very little moral standing as the person looked very well to do and just wanted some food. I have seen smaller hotels and businesses do more for customers and visitors than this establishment.
