We own a gelato shop and have been using Slofoodgroup for our vanilla beans and the Ceylon cinnamon sticks we infused in our gelato bases. The vanilla is always fresh and the spices are spot on. Highly recommend in Chicago. Thanks guys.
Slofoodgroup had been a reliable supplier for us since 2018. Over the last year they have had to stop shipping internationally due to an ever changing shipping, tariff and tax changing landscape across the globe. We understand this and absolutely disagrees with the previous reviewers statement. If we were in the US, we would absolutely work with them again and hope to in the future when global dynamics stabilize.
I've been purchasing from SLOFOODGROUP since 2020, and they have never disappointed. My most recent order was their variety of peppercorns—black, white, pink, and green—which I mix in one grinder. The flavor combination is absolutely amazing and elevates every dish.From their vanilla beans, extracts, and saffron to gourmet salts and other spices, every product is of top-notch quality. I placed and paid for a confirmed order with Slofoodgroup. They canceled it and falsely claimed I requested the cancellation—which I never did.When I asked for an explanation, they changed their reasoning multiple times: first blaming Israeli customs, then citing vague global logistics, and finally referencing a hidden “we can cancel at any time” policy.No restrictions were shown during checkout. Payment was accepted, confirmation received. Only after I pushed did they begin shifting excuses.I filed complaints with the FTC, Florida Attorney General, and BBB. I also submitted full evidence showing their inconsistent communication and false attribution.If you’re outside the U.S. or expect honest service—be careful.
