Avoid this company! Unusable chair! Poor customer service!

I purchased a Steelcase Silq chair for €1,399 at the start of August. It took a month to be delivered. When I began assembling it, I discovered that the wrong footrest had been included, and the gas spring was too narrow, extending all the way to the floor. I immediately contacted customer service and sent photos of the issue. However, it took several weeks for a service technician to come. Unfortunately, he wasn't properly informed about the problem and arrived without the necessary parts, so he left without fixing anything. Now, two and a half months after my order, I still don’t have a usable chair and continue to receive no response from customer service.𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵:The service engineer arrived after another month. This time he came with the wrong spare part. He came with the identical gas spring instead of the correct footrest. He then wrapped the wrong gas spring in tape to make it fit the large hole in the footrest. The results is a botched repair and a chair that is not loadable with body weight without the gas spring hitting the floor. I have now reached out to the customer service in the hopes to return the chair after not having a place to sit, three months after ordering.

Quality product and customer service…

I've had my Steelcase chair for about a year now and it seems like a quality product, and customer service that was there when I needed them and quick to resolve issues. I would recommend and buy from this company again since I had such a good experience. Previous chairs I've purchased for half the price were falling apart in the same timeframe.

This company is the worst

This company is the worst. They will not honor warranty and will push back on transferring to a manager. I spoke with Michael Hook from the online store and was extremely rude and didn’t want to transfer me to his manager. This has to be a joke with the prices these chair go and their quality. Do not buy, save a headache.

Worthwhile Investment in a Steelcase Chair

A year ago, I purchased a Steelcase chair, following a disappointing experience with a $100 chair from a different brand that I ended up discarding due to severe back pain.I am extremely pleased with my Steelcase purchase. Yes, it's pricey, but after exploring various options under $200, I am convinced that it represents the best investment for my comfort and health. The level of comfort and support this chair provides fully justifies its price. It's definitely a case of 'you get what you pay for,' and with this chair, it's been worth every penny.

Happy With My Chair ;)

I recently purchased a Steelcase chair for my home office and I am extremely satisfied with my experience. The customer service was excellent - the representative who helped me choose the right chair was knowledgeable, patient, and attentive to my needs. The chair arrived promptly and was easy to assemble. It is clearly well-made and comfortable to sit in for long periods of time. What really sets Steelcase apart, though, is their commitment to sustainability. I appreciate that the company uses environmentally friendly materials and designs products to last for years, rather than contributing to the disposable culture that is so prevalent today.Overall, I highly recommend Steelcase to anyone in the market for high-quality office furniture. The combination of excellent customer service, top-notch products, and a commitment to sustainability make Steelcase a company that you can trust.

Company is acting dishonest and…

Company is acting dishonest and sketchy. For a large company, they operate like a random sketchy website. Was told before purchase that we could return our office chair with the restocking fee waived if we were unhappy with it. We purchased their Gesture chair and it unfortunately felt very cheap compared to the Herman Miller / Haworth chairs we have. Very uncomfortable for the price as well. We attempted to return the chair and received no response. They wouldn't respond to us until after the 14 day return window had closed. After providing proof with screenshots that we had been attempting to return the product throughout that time, they allowed the return. They took a 20% restocking fee of $383 off the refund though. We reminded them that they had told us that they would waive the restocking fee. They refused to honour this. Steelcase then changed their return policy on their website to say that there is no longer a restocking fee. We brought this to their attention that their return policy clearly says that there is no longer a restocking fee on any orders. They responded that we had purchased before the return policy had been modified. They then added a clause to the return policy to state that orders from before May 2022 were subject to the old return policy. The entire experience with them has been shady and unprofessional. I don't typically leave poor reviews, but this experience just felt shady and off.

OH GOD NO! HORRIBLE COMPANY!

OH GOD NO! Just don't, I'm serious. I spent 1000 Euros on a fully loaded Gesture chair, only to have a CROOKED chair that doesn't match their specs delivered. They state a seat height of about 415mm (16") in ALL their brochures, when in fact, the seat height is about 480mm (19"). They even state the fact that the chair is good for people with heights starting at 157cm (4ft 11"), which is absurd. I'm 175cm tall (5ft 9") and my feet weren't at a 90-degree angle at the lowest setting. What's even worse is that the person I talked to, kept making me feel like an idiot who doesn't know what he's talking about and that my "Tape measurements" are BS compared to their ISO measurements. Never even addressed the fact that it was also crooked, despite me repeating it twice in emails. My suspicion is that my chair was faulty. It was waaay to tall and also crooked, but instead of admitting that and replacing it, the customer service person just kept talking down to me and making me feel like s**t. I've had chairs before you know... Expensive and dirt cheap, but even the cheapest ones' measurements are correct, maybe a half an inch difference... NOT 3! This is an absolutely HORRIBLE company to be treating paying customers like that and basically calling them idi*ts.It's too bad really, because in theory, the Gesture is an absolute beast. Would have loved to own a non-broken one. If you want a good chair and a good experience, go with Herman Miller... heck... even Autonomous.

Premium price, cheap product

Bought a Series 1 at around £400 including headrest. Headrest not sent, no response from their support.Worst part is that the chair is cheap and tacky. Not at all like a £400 chair. Mostly plastic, even the base is mostly plastic too. No tilt adjustability to control tilt. Only on or off. Lean on the arm rest heavily and it bends.A Noblechair is around £300 mark, far superior quality.Do not bother with this brand. Says US brand but I think that is a stretch. Maybe what they meant is US$ rates.04.01.21 update. They have sent the headrest after a month finally, but after sending someone to my apartment to check the packaging, look at the chair etc. They made out like I was trying to cheat them out of a headrest. No apology, only to double check I was not a cheat. I feel really bad having shopped with these guys. The headrest they sent me also did not have the right screws. £400 chair and it does not even have the right screws.

Warranty service is questionable

Bought a Steelcase Chair from Uplift Desk company three years ago. The purchase experience was great, the chair itself was great....for a period of three years, it's the warranty experience with Steelcase that is less than desired. The sliding mechanism broke on the chair, Steelcase sent me a replacement part, with no instructions and a part that looks nowhere near what the original part that was broken. The chair lasting three years at a cost over a $1000 is a little disappointing.Looking for a replacement chair now, not sure where to turn to, I have had bad luck purchasing chairs online without being able to try them. Good luck with your purchases, I hope you have better experience.

Great place to find used office…

Great place to find used office furniture. I went looking for a new desk chair and I was thrilled to find a wide variety of used chairs to try out and choose from.
