I got a Faulty Sylstar 50w LED security motion sensored light from Amazon in November 22! I sent Sylstar an email about the problem in December, they were straight onto it. They said that there were some supply problems but they should have them in later in January 23. I received my replacement early February. Spot on! There lights are great.
On the 10th of March 2021 I wrote to Sylstar Lighning to enquire about shipping of one of their lights. I particularly asked if I order their product from their website where will it ship from and they replied from the German(EU)warehouse. Therefore, neither tax nor customs, as I live in the EU. I tried to buy then but the postage was not free(very expensive) so I asked them about it and they said that currently there is no availability from the EU warehouse and to wait until the free postage and German warehouse has stock again. I waited and on the 15th of April the system allowed me to buy one of their products with free shipping which meant that there was availability again of the EU warehouse. I paid 200,55 EUR = 229,99 USD on that date. On the 19th of April I received an email from Sylstar asking me if I wanted my order cancelled or pay tax of 50USD for the product. I said how can that be as I ordered from Germany warehouse. The answer was “the German warehouse cannot send your product”. Just like that, like they have no care in the world! I told them that this is their fault and I asked before buying so they need to pay the tax for me. On the 21st of April I received what is supposed to be a full refund from them via Paypal however 200,55 EUR = 229,99 USD but 229,99 USD = 190,43 EUR which is about 10€ less. I did nothing wrong, I was prudent enough to enquire to them what I am to expect. Not only did they lie about shipping, when I proved to them that this is their own mistake, they washed their hands from me saying that they did everything right. I asked Sylstar for every step of my purchase and I have the emails to prove it. You can clearly see from Amazon that this is not a good company but I will go to one step further and call them a SCAM! Avoid like the cancer!
