Absolutely Awful Experience. Avoid at All Costs
My experience with Tate Recruitment has been nothing short of disgraceful. Their service is unprofessional, disorganised, and completely lacking in basic respect for the people they claim to support. They show no genuine care for their staff or candidates — it’s all about what benefits them, never about the individual.Even worse, I’ve witnessed and experienced behaviour from them that I can only describe as discriminatory and racist. This is completely unacceptable in any workplace, especially one that claims to be a professional recruitment agency. If you value fairness, respect, and proper treatment, steer clear of Tate Recruitment. They do not deserve your time, trust, or business.

Simply the worst job experience
I applied for a job via Tate recruitment, I did the interview and other assessments assigned to me. Got the job and I was told there will be minor screening which I agreed to fast forward to the screening, it was not minor at all it was extremely invasive which was fine given it was for a bank job. Tate made the process stressful and unbearable they were not straight forward, first they ask for personal email then came back and said they wanted professional email. They were racists telling me they have people from Nigeria who were able to provide certain details which the previous company I worked for could not provide, as if Nigeria was a small village made up of 30 people. we have 36 states in Nigeria, Nigeria is the largest country in Africa. We have both start up companies and big companies I worked for a start up. They did not have a P45 or P60. Tate said other Nigerians working with them were able to get it(allegedly) insinuating that I was lying about the company not having a P60 or p45. I was able to provide details for other companies, except one of which the company offered alternative options which was given to Tate and they refused to use them. Tate pressured me to quit my current job knowing fully well they were never going to Let me start the new job, then I was told I was only 90% compliant so I won’t be able to start. They did not even send me a mail or message to inform me I had to call them, they said they have completed the process with others. Tate recruitment is very shady and not straightforward!

St Albans Tate
Caroline and Rachel was absolutely brilliant, they communicated really well, if they told me they would get back to me by end of day, they did. Which is a rarity in recruitment. They held my hand through the whole process and until I got the job offer.I really can’t recommend Tate enough.Thank you Caroline and Rachel.
