One star is as low as i can go.

I have only given this one star because i cannot go any lower, i cannot advise you enough to avoid this company in particular a solicitor called Edmund who seemed to feel the whole process of buying a house was an opportunity to show of how clever he was. From start to finish he was obstructive and unprofessional It was very lucky that the entire process didn't fall through and no thanks to him that it didn't.Jamie and Georgina

What an awful experience

Would not recommend using them for conveyancing, it was an awful experience.Estate Agent recommended Tgbaynes Dartford to me with Martin Dewar as my conveyancer.I wish I have never used him.The distress that he had created was not compensable. My case had been with him for 9 months, I had only had five emails from him. He failed to respond to my follow-up emails, never answer to my enquiries. The unacceptable delay and lack of assistance throughout the process made me lose my mortgage offer. After all of his poor service and poor attitude, he still insisted that he was not responsible to this failed transactions and charged me £735 for his professional charge. I strongly recommend anyone who is considering using Tgbaynes to look for a more professional company.

am a residuary beneficiary in a probate…

am a residuary beneficiary in a probate case handled by TG Baynes. My experience has been one of repeated delays, contradictory statements, and ignored evidence. A clear undeclared asset — a car — has never been properly addressed, despite being raised multiple times.Instead of transparency, I’ve faced piecemeal replies, threats to charge me personally for raising concerns, and months of inaction. This has caused distress and unnecessary costs to the estate. From my perspective, TG Baynes has not demonstrated competence or fairness in handling estate matters. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before instructing this firm.

Avoid if your life depends on it

Avoid if your life depends on it. I choose TGbaynes services to purchase a house after reading the positive reviews about Louisa Juchau, I contacted her and she immediately responded to me . She then emailed a comfimation of instruction forms, which I signed and emailed back to her. Out of the blue we're emailed a letter from a trainee that will be dealing with our case . We were so shocked , Louisa did not inform us or even ask for our consent before delegating our case to the trainee, we have contacted Louisa she has failed to response to our email, I feel Louisa lured us to believe she will be handling our case , and once we signed the forms she passed us on to a trainee. Our trust in the service has been shattered , we are extremely worried to death that this might cost us thousands as it's already going wrong. We ended up not buying the house and they charge us over 900 for 6 weeks work.

We were looking for an explanation on a will written by TG Baynes

We were looking for an explanation on my late fathers will written by TG Baynes originally for him with one paragraph in particular being confusing to us and our accountants. Three family members took time off work to attend a meeting to discuss this to see what was exactly this paragraph meant .On arriving for a meeting ,we were told a fee of £750 would be charged for this service at £250 per hour .When we asked TG Baynes we would pay for an hour just for an explanation on the will (its 5 pages long and we only wanted one paragraph explained) they said they would not do this .I feel we are reasonable and not too demanding as customers but this is awful to experience this level of arrogance shown when we said this was too much ,especially as my father had chosen them to represent him on the distribution of his estate. We were told we had been emailed about the charges (we had not received anything ), but no one could show an email at the office that was supposed to have been sent to us . Then they they said it was discussed with my wife over the phone - we asked for a recording of this and they refused this request. What an awful experience - again avoid at all costs and look for a more professional company that are upfront and empathetic to customers .I don't normally write reviews but felt so annoyed by this experience that I felt compelled to write this .

Expensive, will charge every 6 mins! But did not give me a Will!

I decided to choose T.G.Baynes Solicitors inBexleyheath. I wish I never selected them!If I could put less than one star I would!Cos they charged me £199, for I hour. Fora DRAFT WILL. Which I cannot use, it's nogood. I could not accept it. Soon as I phoned and told this.Niether Will Writer Camilla, nor the Solicitor Kully Shoker replied to me for some time!!! ThenI was just told by the will writer she will askKully shoker what to do. I was worrying, needing a explaination of the scary clause inthe draft will? But I never ever got it! Shoker phoned me very briefly just beforeI had had enough, and paid their scary unfairBill. But she was no help, gave no explaination, Only told me that not on viewto the public! That I did not like the clause!Only seem to want to get money, from who they just think is public, to hide from! I onlypaid cos I was scared the bill said interestwould be charged, if not paid! But feel cheated as they got £199! But I got a draftWill that is no use to me!!!!!

TG Baynes Dartford branch poor service costing us thousands …

TG Baynes Dartford branch recommended to us by our estate agent regretfully . If took 6 months to sell and complete on a 2 bedroom terraced house and ended up costing us £10,000 due to stamp duty increase April 2025 that we took the hit on instead of the buyers otherwise we would have lost the sale .Wish I had looked at the reviews before we took them on and regret listening to the Estate agent who recommended them. It cost us due to their slow progress and them being greedy and taking on too many clients that they couldn’t handle slowing our house sale costing us thousands as we had to concede to dropping the house price to cover the stamp duty increase for buyers Would not recommend using them for conveyancing .

Bexleyheath branch

Bexleyheath branch. Just too many very bad issues to write about, they had the cheek to charge us 5% after all the individual ‘costs’ had been amalgamated. I am sure they have, if the other reviews are not bogus done good work, however in the light of my experience, just in case, my advice would be don’t go near this firm with a very long, extend and lengthened bargepole. These comments are made ‘without prejudice’

Great communication

What could have been particularly stressful move has been made so much easier for us by David Smith who was very down to earth and professional at the same time. He put our minds at ease and we felt we could speak to him at any time. 10/10

First time buyer experience = 9/10

My first time buyer experience was a great one thanks to Martin Dewar. He was always contactable via phone, email or his PA – Christine. As well as being honest and transparent with the timeframe, he was able to answer any questions I had and was also very thorough. From start to finish took approximately 10 weeks, and this was during the Covid pandemic & looming stamp duty deadline. I’m almost certain that Martin will be my go-to solicitor for any future purchases. The solicitor fees are not the cheapest but they say you get what you pay for. I would rather pay that bit extra for a solicitor that is contactable and knows what they are doing, over a cheap internet conveyancer somewhere in Yorkshire who I can’t get hold of. Plus we completed just before the stamp duty deadline so the fees were worth it. I would rate my entire experience with TG Baynes as 9/10. If the firm had a portal to upload documents and provide real time updates I would give it a 10/10.

Dental Negligence - Mrs Pavandeep Gill

Mrs Pavandeep Gill of the Bexleyheath office acted for my wife and me in two separate claims. Pavandeep was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She is very professional, courteous and communicative and she explained everything very well; we knew we were in good hands. Excellent service for both of us. We would both highly recommend her. Thank you so much Pavandeep.

I appointed this FirThis Company are terrible and dishonest, avoid them at all costs.m to deal with 2…

I appointed this Firm to deal with 2 cases of dental negligence one for myself and one for my brother.I was told that each case would take a maximum of 2 years each.In the end it took over 5 years on each case and this was without them even going to trial. There were endless delays, most time it took 3 months or more to get responses from them and the Medical experts they appointed. They never complied with their own client care responsibilities or response times. There were so many errors I can even recall them all.In the end due to to T G Baynes and the misinterpreting the medical experts opinion, they force us to settle both cases for less than 25% of what they had valued the claims at for damages and future treatment.I argued with them to change their stance as the medical expert later corrected their error in what they misinterpreted in his opinion, but they refused to change their stance.I am convinced this is because they did not want this to go to trial, as they were sure the judge and the defense would tear them apart due to their many failings on both cases.I put a complaint to the Chairman Mr Clarke about this, he refused to respond.I then requested him to supply me with the full client files, he refused for months, even when I complained to the information commissioner's office (ICO) and the solicitors regulation authority (SRA)Finally after over 1 year they sent me a box of paper for each case, but refused to supply the electronic file. However when I supplied this to a professional negligence (PNS) solicitor to look into T G Baynes failings, the file was reviewed and it was incomplete. The PNS wrote to T G Baynes and requested the electronic file and also specifically the documents that were missing.T G Baynes again refused to supply them, the PNS has also raised it with the ICO, the SRA and has also now had to apply to court for the release of the documents. They have no respect for the law, which is hypocritical and Ironic for a law firm.
