Worst people ever.. had us wire the money saying they don’t accept credit for international transactions then we wire the money and they refuse to complete our order. Poor customer service she was talking to me as if I’m a scammer and said once she sees our order she will make sure it’s canceled.
Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit attempted to purchase a used spectrum analyzer from Transcat for a quoted total of $650.00. Immediately after providing our card number (because PayPal was refused), Transcat attempted multiple charges in higher, undisclosed amounts — one for $862.38 and another for $776.65. Neither amount was on the written quote, and no invoice ever showed these totals.When we discovered the unauthorized charges, we cancelled in writing and by phone. Transcat acknowledged the cancellation and said the shipment would be recalled. UPS tracking shows the package was intercepted and returned to Transcat’s Houston warehouse, confirmed delivered and signed for by their staff.Despite this — and without ever providing an updated invoice or shipping cost — Transcat again, still issued an invoice claiming our credit card was “Paid in Full” for $862.38, even though we never approved that amount and never received any product.We have had to open a fraud dispute with our bank, and complaints are currently active with the BBB, the Colorado Attorney General, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. We hope this is resolved quickly, but nonprofits and small organizations rely on ethical billing, transparency, and honoring written quotes. None of that happened here.
Most of the Transcat personnel are friendly and have good customer service. Although one of them was very rude, not friendly and unprofessional. The calibration service is great. Customer service needs to be improved.
I needed help finding a Rental unit for order, and Kevin on the Rentals team made the entire transaction a positive experience. His knowledge, responsiveness, and patience were more than I would have expected. I had to change my order, and he made the process easy to understand and execute.
I received our Bili meters back and was shocked at how fast the turnaround was. I have been dealing with so many vendors this month and most of them have me jumping through hoops to get service. From the first time the Transcat technician came out here for service last January, I have been extremely impressed with them. Transcat makes the process of sending in repairs, calibrations, and getting service so simple, and the equipment is serviced so fast.
I purchased four items and appreciated how quick the order was fulfilled and ship. They have a ton of products to choose from.

Terrible experience in a range of aspects from the timeliness and quality of communication to the aggressive and unreasonable pricing imposed with no reasoning but "$3000 minimum charge". Dane Dalton is the person I dealt with - he was rude, did not reply to our communication and when he did the answers to my inquiries were evasive. The simple request for a break down cost of the quote was not addressed. If this is the culture promoted then it is an original and dangerous approach to customer "success".
Awful customer service. Reached out several times months ahead for calibration services and Transcat was not responsive. Ended up scheduling the day the equipment was due and technician did not show up.3 months later and I still have not received calibration certificates- reached out and Debra Licup of Transcat was EXTREMELY rude and not helpful, I had to do her job for her and provide more information than I needed to, just to find the certificates. Still don't have them.
Ugh. Several mixups with a couple of orders, one shipment arrived over a year and a half after the order had been quoted and placed! I wouldn't mind all of that, as the order had been for pipettes and we always need them, and we were all operating in pandemic/post-pandemic time so I'm okay with a lot of problems. But, we were overcharged for shipping (we were charged the entire quoted amount for s/h on the first (partial) shipment (over $100! for one carton)), and then every other carton that came included an additional s/h charge. I spent many hours providing customer service with the documentation they asked for, and they agreed they'd overcharged us, but they would NOT refund the excess charge. I kept asking for a refund check and the agent kept saying they'd credit our account, and I kept saying I wanted a refund check and the agent kept saying they'd credit our account. I never want to buy another effing pipette from them ever, so I'd really like my refund check!
I have had no business dealings with this company, nor have I ever heard of them until this morning, but Capital One just sent to me a fraud warning that I had a fraudulent charge attempted on my credit card from Transcat, Inc.
The new corporate ownership set up high sales targets casing the sales team to scramble for sales through exagerately, high prices, unethical quotations including double charging for time, over-reporting technician's on site time, overal aggressive communication and non- existent Customer Service. Lead time for sent in instrumentation calibration is now extended in order to promote the rental of their equipment while your equipment is calibrated.Corporate greed at its best!They lost a large customer in us.
Terrible customer service, extremely poor communication. The Calibration manager was very unprofessional. After sending an electronic measuring unit for repairs it came back still not working. He failed to communicate and my phone calls and emails went unanswered. Terrible company to deal with, terrible attitude of this Calibration manager Dalton.
Worst experince so far. Accelerometers sent out for calibration, it was delayed 4 times at least. When asked why it was taking too long. They stated that they were waiting for Manufacturer specs. Specs sent by us (requester) no answers then, they shipped them back un-serviced to us , with no comunication nor explanation. Crikets so far...
This company is BAD! They are diabolical when it comes to customer service... quick to take your money and tried to slap on $195 shipping charge after paying the quote for a $40 flashlight! STAY CLEAR! They are an absolute JOKE!
A transcat driver, tag NJ XGLT40, cut me off on the interstate forcing me to swerve into another lane. I was very obviously in the drivers line of sight. But in an effort to get around the traffic the driver pulled into my lane forcing me to swerve to prevent an accident.
Since the first contact that I had with a sales person Carla, I knew I would have problems with this company. She was not even clear on how much they would charge me for handling and shipping. A day after I checked my bank statement and they charged me way over what they should (as I checked online the amount for 2 days shipping). I called, complaining about that, they sent back some money to my credit card. The headache started when they put three charges on my card of $346.84 (pending since Tuesday, today is Friday). So, please, do yourself a favor and do business somewhere else. I expected some professionalism from a company that has more than 50 years of experience in this industry.
Though the wrong instrument was sent to us, Transcat worked with us on easily returning the incorrect product and refund.
Most people make a fraud, but without scamming, I have my order instantly, so because of this fantastic delivery I am very pleased with your service. Keep up the great service I offer everyone.
