Quick fix amazing customer service!

I found this company after a lot of searching for affordable matting to fit the large size of frames 24x24 I had with the small 8x8 sizing photo sizes I needed cut to order for 6 frames. Everywhere I searched wanted $50 each, but Art to frames did 6 for $120! Amazing price in my opinion. One mat came with a few dimples in the mat, and they replaced it extremely fast! Amazing customer service, quality product, and fast delivery! I will shop here every time I need photography supplies.

Be advised the product says it comes…

Be advised the product says it comes with glass and product specifications list “glass size” but later it specified that glass “type” is in fact not glass, but acrylic that does not give the appearance of glass bc it is foggy. Cheap product at high price.

Second order: Wrong address, no compensation

First order: I created an account; all went well.Second order: I logged in to my account; my address auto-filled--as it does for anything on this computer. Yet, the order was sent to S Main rather than my N Main. When I questioned this, I was told that there was no way the error was theirs. Not possible, they claimed. I disagreed, but accepted their offer of 1/2 of my $88 order, imagining the same order for another $44 was better than nothing. My original order included four frames and free shipping. Today I tried replicating my original order--my address auto-filled with the correct address, by the way. Shipping is $38--almost my entire "reimbursement" for the order they lost. I wrote to ask when I might find another offer of free shipping. The gist of the response was that I have already been reimbursed for this order; I will get nothing more from them. (I wasn't requesting further compensation--rather, an estimated timeline.) Again, I decided to swallow my pride, pay the lowest shipping, and wait weeks for its arrival. I replicated my order, entered the $44 "gift card," and received the error message: "Code not applicable because cart total is less than minimum coupon price." I added four additional frames until my order was over $100; I received the same error. I was willing to split the difference of this error, despite my error-proof auto-fill address. If arttoframe were a legitimate business, they would have helped me--or at least made it possible for me--to recreate an identical order for an additional 50% of the price I have already payed. Never again.

Good options for artist on a budget

Well packed, exactly what I ordered. I appreciate you have a choice to order without glass and also a choice for hanging hardware.Perfect for budget artist. My work looks great in this frame. I had trouble with shipping time but think it was a post office problem.

My first experience with Art to Frames…

My first experience with Art to Frames was perfect. The website was easy to use. For an oddball sized image, I had to do some precise calculating to get the reveal correct with the image. Very helpful to be able to upload your image and see it in the frame/mat you selected. The digital representation was quite accurate. My order arrived early. No issues in shipping. The frame was competently made even with the oddball dimensions. Save me about $250 versus a local framer. Very pleased.

Do not order from this business

Do not order from this business, they do not have good reviews for a good reason. I ordered from them, received something I did not want, they would not rectify it, they just offered a partial refund. The shipping charges are very high and the speed is very slow. Frame is warped and crooked, cheaply made it did not align well.

They screwed up two separate orders

They screwed up two separate orders, two frames per order. Sent the first order to the wrong address (their error) so it got sent back to them instead of to me. They resent it and it arrived on time, so fine. But in the meantime, they confirmed that the second order was correct, but it wasn't. They sent it to the wrong address AGAIN and it got sent back to them AGAIN instead of to me, resulting in missed Christmas gifts to two people. I didn't make a fuss the first time, but the second time I wanted them to make it right, compensate me, and to re-send the frames directly to the people they were gifts for (who are now at different addresses across the country). They refused. Their best offer? They would resend one for free, but I would have to pay for the second frame to be mailed to a different address.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Horrible Business. Misleading Mat Colors.

I paid a lot of money to get a museum quality frame for my most prized art piece. One of the conservation quality mat boards I ordered (Jeans #9885) shows up as a dark/charcoal grey on the site. When the product arrived its was VERY blue, a deep vibrant, blue. The color was so drastically different from what I ordered that I thought they messed up - turns out they knew about the wrong color being displayed on the site and said I got the actual color (Jeans #9885) is supposed to be. Why they don't have a warning, product description or have actually CHANGED the incorrect image on the site I have no idea...It was also imperative to get this frame before Christmas otherwise I couldn't give it to who I needed to without personally spending my own money to ship it to them. Because it took so long for customer service to get back to me - it was too late. They offered to replace the mat with another one closer to the color I wanted. They proceeded to show me cheaper, worse, non-conservation level replacements which I was very upset about. After a ton of back and forth and wasted time, it turns out they do not have ANY dark grey conservation level mats.Instead I got a refund for $17, which is an arbitrary number they made up since the custom frame has absolutely no breakdown of cost-per item in my order or receipt. They gave me $1 dollar extra, which doesn't even cover the sales tax of the supposed $17 I paid for the defective mat. Now, not only do I need to buy a replacement mat but I have to pay a ton of money in shipping to get the frame to the person it was intended for.HORRIBLE COMPANY, they don't care about screwing you over or even attempt to compensate for the massive mess up and inconvenience. NEVER BUY FROM THEM.

Terrible ready-made 8x10 and 11x17…

Terrible ready-made 8x10 and 11x17 frames. They used greasy, uncured black putty to conceal the chips in the corners. It left black streaks on my wall. The frame mat was dirty on the inside of the glass. They gave me a 50% refund.

I highly do NOT recommend Art to…

I highly do NOT recommend Art to Frames. I specifically ordered from them due to them having backings that allowed for interchangeable photos. I ordered a large order of 7 frames and none of the came with the backing that I ordered (the backing was sealed and the matting was glued to the photo, preventing photos from being interchanged). They admitted this was an error on their end on the site but refused to give me a full refund or send out the correct frames (they gave me a partial refund). Also, several of the white frames had smudges that could NOT be removed. The “easy to hang” option for frames is also horrible, the sawtooth is in a different spot on every frame so it would be nearly impossible to align them in a straight row. If you just google Art to Frames, you will see countless negative reviews. I only ordered from them due to the nature of the backing I needed, but now need to order new frames from elsewhere.

Paid a lot for a poor quality frame

Paid a lot for a poor quality frame. When it arrived, I followed the instructions for “easy hang” but the quality of the product was questionable and felt incredibly insecure. About an hour or two after item was hung on the wall, it fell off and the frame broke into multiple pieces upon impact. When I emailed customer service to tell them about the situation and ask for a refund, they said they wouldn’t be able to because I broke the item. Overall disappointed. Paid way too much for such a poor quality frame, will not be using again.

After looking at several online…

After looking at several online solutions for mat boards, I liked the ease of use of the ArtToFrames app as it was more intuitive. It did have a bug in it however, but after trying to fix the bug, they took my order over the phone, and were both professional and generous in their solutions. When I received the mat boards, they were packed in an impressive detailed, meticulous way. When I opened it and saw them, they were perfect, better than I 'd hoped or imagined.

Arttoframes Appreciation Post

Hi, I’m an artist and I can’t gatekeep Arttoframes because it’s such a great option for artists on a budget! I usually order one of the Off White On Wood ones and it comes with real wood. You can select acid free foam backing and a wire framing kit (important for work being put in a gallery). The customer service is also AMAZING and super understanding if you need the frames by a certain time or make a mistake in sizing (I have a habit of ordering my frames at the last minute before a show lol). I have had so many people ask about my frames thinking that I got them done at an expensive local framing shop but nope! Arttoframes 💯 🫶🔥

Poor quality frame and glass

Poor quality frame and glass. Return process is very complicated. They make you email them to explain why you are returning the product and they do not respond. You cannot just print a return label and ship it back like most other online sellers.

FAKE WOOD PURE GARBAGE

DO NOT purchase from ArtToFrames their frames are NOT real wood. I purchased a frame from Amazon. Though it says free returns that is a LIE as well you have to pay for the return shipping. It was considerably more than the frame itself to ship it back.

Decent frame

Frame arrived in excellent condition---good packing. Frame quality was as expected--good/decent perhaps not great, but completely acceptable. Low glare plexiglass works well. Size is perfect. Only complaint (minor) was that shipping was a couple days late.

Very disappointed

Very disappointed. The film on the plexiglass is a good idea. However, when I pulled it off, I couldn't believe my eyes. The plexiglass was foggy. I wiped it off—no results. I thought there was another film below that. I tried for a few minutes to get the film off what I thought was both sides. There was no film. The plexiglass is so foggy it looks greasy. It's not dirty. It's not a film. It's a POS piece of acrylic plexiglass that they tout as Tru Clear. Anything but. The frame itself seems to be okay, although the set of hanging items is a little anachronistic. Overall, my experience throughout the entire process leads me to believe that I would not purchase from this company again. 2/5. Poor.

Well-made, true to AI image, real solid wood

My matte and frame arrived this week, looking just as I had hoped, thanks to the website’s ability to insert a photo of my artwork into the selected matte and frame for a preview. The product arrived earlier than their projected delivery date. I’ll be happy to give them my business again in the future.

Warehouse is a scam

I don’t typically post reviews, but in order to protect consumers I’d please encourage anyone to avoid this website/store at all costs. The front end looks trustworthy, but when you try and pick up your order they direct you to a deserted brooklyn warehouse with no employees. Upon calling the helpline, I waited 15 min only for customer service to “apologise” for the inconvenience of not having your order and ask you to show up again another time. Before I was able to reach them, somebody hung up on me 3x times. They left it unclear whether my product actually exists and when the warehouse (which is de-facto deserted) would open again.

Potential scam

I pick a frame and purchased it via their check out system, then the next morning they call me asking for additional money for the purchase I had already made, SCAM! I don’t feel I can trust this seller and I highly recommend other artists and collectors avoid Art To Frames, they can’t be trusted.
