Waste of time
Waste of time. They offered me 4000 by estimated quotation and the said they pay what they say. Then by call she said me we can only offer 2000 because your car category s but this absolutely rubbish because when you do the estimated quotation the system know my car is category s all what I can say they are lied to me.

Sold my none runner seized engine Mazda to Car Converter. They gave me the best price by some 20% higher than anywhere else. Phoned them Tuesday, car was collected free and no fuss on Thursday as arranged. Driver called 30 minutes before arriving as arranged. Full money as agreed was in my account within 2 ours. I even received a phone call to confirm bank details were correct. Emails were answered promptly and Abbie was very professional and knowledgeable.

Not good
They ask for photos of your car and then don’t call you back. Try elsewhere

I've been a car salesman for 21 years…
I've been a car salesman for 21 years now, so I know a thing or two about car valuations. I have a car that doesn't run, which I don't have the time to sort out as the car needs to be gone asap. I gave them ALL of the details after clicking on the link that said "Sell my Non-runner car" and they came back with £1400. When I confirmed that it didn't run (which they were clear aware of ahead of time) the offer dropped by over £1000. They're a joke, don't waste your time!!

Avoid if you value your time
Avoid if you value your time, I was first quoted £260, then when spoke to them they lowered the offer to £200 because there was a electrical fault with the car, which I did tell them about when I got the first quote. I booked to have it taken anyways and explained that I would be at work and would need a call 30 minutes before so I could get back in time, which she said that they would do. On the day the driver called me to tell me he was 3 minutes away, I told him I would be about 30 minutes by the time I get home and said that I had asked to be called 30 minutes before to make sure I was home in time, he was very rude and said that he wasn’t going to wait hours for me to get back and I said once again I would be 30 minutes and he replied with well I’m not waiting I need to leave in 20, I’ll come back tomorrow, which I agreed too. Then one of the people in the office called me to rearrange and confirm that I was happy to have the car collected the next day which I said yes to and asked for a rough time which she said she couldn’t give so I asked once again for a 30 minute warning which she said she also couldn’t do. I ended up taking the day off work so I could wait for them. I’ve now wasted a days holiday waiting in for them only to have them call and ask to rearrange it to Tuesday. I told them I was going to find someone else and that they had messed me around too much.

Ridiculous Offer
They offered a ridiculous amount for a car without taking the time to understand the state of the car. They do not do a proper research before they make an ofer. I called them to provide more details and they offered an even lower amount. They clearly just want to take advantage of customers who need to sell a car that may have mechanical issues but doesn't mean there are useless or cost nothing. avoid please and sell your car on Gumtree or similar sites.

I contacted a few firms for online quotes. All replied including car converter the others giving an immediate quote. Carconverter asked a lot of questions and requested photos which I sent. A day passed then another I tried to contact them by E-mail and got no reply I finally rung them and was told the reason I had not been contacted was because the vehicle had no value to them.My view is that this is very poor customer service and rude. All they had to do was let me know and not waste my time submitting photos and filling a questionnaire. Sold for £350.

Would use again
Car collected with a minimum of fuss I was missing one of the documents but this didn't affect the valuation, recieved money within a couple of hours. Impressed with the speed of service and friendly staff.

Impressive Customer Service / Best Price Paid
By far the highest price offered by fifteen dealers contacted. Responsive, helpful customer service received, especially from Hamish. Was initially a little apprehensive but car was collected on time and payment was made by bank transfer within a couple of hours

Car converter very poor customer service
Car converter gave a quote, then asked for more details, which was provided. Several phone calls later to Hamish and more emails of empty promises from this company. Finally gave up with them. Poor customer service & communication.

VERY IMPRESSED
They were quick to provide what turned out to be the highest offer from 5 online non-runner car buyers. Higher by £250 as it happens. To be sure I rang and spoke to Michelle who confirmed the offer by email and arranged vehicle collection. The car had been towed to a garage but I didn't have to attend, simply leave the keys and v5c with them. The car was collected 2 days later and the money was in the bank within hours after a confirmation of account details when the collection occurred. Very impressive all round.
