Four Years Later, Still the Best Umbrella I Own
I bought my first Carl Dagg umbrella back on October 7th, 2021, and, well… four years later I’m still a little amazed at how good it is. I’ve used it a lot—rain, wind, the usual city chaos—and honestly it still looks almost exactly the same as the day I got it. The dusky blue canvas? Still perfect. No fading, no spots, pas de taches. That’s rare. What I love most though is the feeling when I open it. There’s this firm, round sound—kind of like a satisfying click—that just tells you “yep, this is well made.” The canvas feels thick in your hand, solid, not flimsy at all. And yes, I’ll admit it, it makes me feel better dressed. There’s nothing worse than wearing a good coat and nice shoes and then carrying some cheap umbrella that looks like it’ll fold any second. With this one, people notice, and I kind of like that.It protects really well in heavy rain too, which is, after all, what an umbrella is supposed to do. But here it does it with style. I actually like it so much that I went and bought another one just yesterday… which probably says it all.
