If I could rate this company lower than…
If I could rate this company lower than one star I would. I had tires put on my vehicle and went to use the card to pay for it and it was declined because for no reason whatsoever, a security hold was put on it. I had to use the money in my bank account every single cent to pay for the tires instead of using the two $200 gift cards. I have no money now and it is two days till Christmas. I had to use all my Christmas money to pay for these tires. Customer service was no help at all and could not take my card off hold. The best they could do was send me out a new gift card in 7 to 10 business days. Xmas is 2 days away and now I have no tree presents or Xmas dinner. I will also be receiving charges for bills coming through my account because there’s now no money in it. They suck soooooooooooo bad!!!!!

Honestly shocking
Honestly shocking. Wish we'd read these reviews before purchasing.They've basically just stolen all of the money off the cards due to inactivity. Our company will definitely not be buying these again!

Would give a 0 star review if possible. I purchased a $500 gift card. When opened the last 4 digits were scratched off so the card could not be used. After starting a claim with them and sending photos of the receipt, front and back of card and providing the serial number, they closed the claim saying there was nothing they could do. I called customer service to get information as to what type of investigation they did and to provide me with the transactions that were done with the card so I can dispute that and prove that it is fraudulent. The customer service supervisor said they could not search the transactions with just the serial number of the card. So when I responded saying, then you must have not followed through with a complete investigation to be able to close the claim and not provide a new loaded card, I got a completely different response. Now he couldn't give me with the information due to the fact that I couldn't provide the last 4 digits of the card which was the reason for my complaint in the first place. To protect the safety and security of their customers, he said. Well I am the customer, provided the receipt from when I purchased it, and all the information they needed aside from the 4 digits that caused me to do the claim in the first place, yet where is my protection as the customer. I have the right to know what supposed transactions were done on the card I purchased. I can even provide the credit card statement as to when I purchased it and the card I purchased it with, yet I am not able to get any information on the card I purchased. Do not buy these gift cards.

Absolute nightmare!
Absolute nightmare!I recently moved back to UK from Canada after my husband's sudden passing. Purchased these ' International cards' $1000s and are declined everywhere! Online, in multiple shops and after many useless calls to CS informed me that they do not have recollection of any declined transactions and the cards can only be used in Canada!STAY FAR FAR AWAY... Scammers based in South East Asia.DO NOT PURCHASE UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY TO GIVE AWAY !

HORRIBLE HORRIBLY HORRIFIC!!! I will NEVER give one of these cards again!!! As soon as I bought and activated it, it immediately wouldn’t work anywhere. Then when I called customer service they said they had to mail me a replacement card, and asked for my name and address. So forget about anonymity and time constraints you may have wanted. What a SCAM!!!

This business needs to fail, we received this $100 gift card & it does NOT WORK! They stipulate we must provide photos, that's not a problem. Then they DEMAND a copy of the receipt??? Hey do you even understand that YOU sell gift cards to be given to others as a gift@#$?I will actively encourage other to NOT BUY THESE CARDS. They sell faulty cards followed up by faulty customer service

This must be a scam - I’ve received a gift card but it’s impossible to spend. Rejected in shop and online, and when you try to check the balance on the website it says it’s down and to call. And when you call it says the only option is to use the website

It has to be an inside job of ripping off customers. I received two Vanilla Visa gift cards as a bday gift. One card for Fifty bucks the card was sealed when I opened there is no security code on the back of the card the account number in the front had missing numbers and the card expirations date blank. The second card every box checked off only to activate my card off a Hundred dollars card has no fu ds and was used in Florida mall, be mindful I don't live or shop in Florida. The card was used yet I opened a sealed card . There is something wrong here. There is no way your security for these cards are that slack. I am now out of $150.00 and no customer service available only voice recording to activate your card or go to website and have you going around in circles. My advice NEVER PERCHASE GIFT CARDS ESPECIALLY VANILLA GIFT CARD. FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD 😤😤😤

2nd× funds stolen on my vanilla card not a good company that takes there time when issues like this need ASAP customer service! People that steal go f your selves get a job losers stealing from others that can't work is pathetic! Also vanilla horrible service they don't care cause call centers in India not in U.S.A. wtf!!

The time it took me to get home from the store 2 minutes away. The 100 dollars I prepaid for was gone. I disputed and they refused to reimburse me. Was sold by a durka, made a complaint to a durka was declined reimbursement by a durka, I got scammed by a durka using vanilla prepaid credit card. I'm so mad!!!

Scam - worldwide company
Got 2 separate gift cards gifted to me at and over the space of 3 years I still can't access my cards and they haven't even expired yet. The website system has always been down or unresponsive. These cards can not be withdrawn at am ATM machine and you can't get refund after 30 days. The company and company website is unreliable. Scam. You can even log in to your account for a password reset and you can't log in using your gift card details, page appears error/ denied and the help/FAQ isn't much use either. There's no MyVanillaGiftCard app, it's a third party

If I could give them a 0 stars, I would. I found a prepaid card that I had forgotten about. I just wanted to call to get the balance. They would not give me the balance unless I knew the amount that was put on the card. Absolutely ridiculous!! I don’t remember what amount I put on the card. Also, the card didn’t even have a name on it. Total scammers!!!

Absolutely horrible! Please noone purchase these cards. It's a scam. They just steal your money! Absolutely horrible and not helpful at all. Had a card 50£ gifted 2 years ago and they were saying that it has been blocked that time because someone else tried to use it in US. All was said that they can't retrieve it and basically to put in the bin. In the last 2 years first time got hold of someone to talk to. And no help. The card still doesn't expire until 08/2027. But because they blocked it 2 years ago, can't use it. It is disgusting! All been said should have contacted us in 2023 when the card was blocked. Didn't know the card was blocked at all! As their website always down and could never check it. Tried to call previously few times and couldn't get hold of anyone.

Brutal this company I don’t know how they’re still in business. First of all they sent me a card and there was a bunch of immigrant Tech charges on it so I waited three months for a replacement card and then I found out there’s a bunch of Google Aix charges.

Advice for using card
For anyone struggling to use this card, I managed to use it to buy gift cards on amazon. The maximum you can buy is £40 per transaction online, so I had to buy a £40 and a £10 gift card in two separate transactions to use £50 vanilla card. Just add the card as if it were a credit card and use the name FOR YOU PREPAID. We had the card for 22 months and still managed to use the full amount on the card. Hope this helps someone.

Really poor experience
Really poor experience. Had the card for coming up to 2 years. There website always says 'under maintenance' and have never been able to register card or log in in all that time. Website and automated messages sends you round in circles with ultimately zero help as just cuts you off and tells you to get help on the website - which then in turn says under maintenance. Contact us is tel (which doesnt help) and then post a letter, no online help at all. it was only a £25 gift card and just the worst experience. I would not recommend buying this cash card. just give someone cash or a store card. Sorry guys really bad customer journey hence feeling compelled to write this review to inform people to not bother.

Do not buy these cards
Do not buy these cards - the company puts holds on the cards because they see fraudulent use (a grocery store) and the will have mail a new card. The new card never comes and they say it is the post office's fault. This is the worst gift card ever.
