Passport renewal is head aches. If you are planning to travel during the Christmas send your passport now. Because it will take veeeery long time. Maybe 4 month, maybe more. They need more responsible people over there.
We sent our passport renewals in almost 2 months ago and they still have not been even started to process. Website says Not Available. Check hasnt been cashed yet. Calling is a waste of time. They tell you to check the website. Not sure where we go from here. They seem to be underfunded and understaffed just like the IRS and Social Security.
I submitted my online renewal on 12/27/22.I have a trip planned for next week. I have called for the last 3 weeks. Today I held for over 3 hours, well 5 if you include the first 2 hour wait when the employee disconnected the call. I was trying to get an appointment. There were none available. Each time I do get a representative I get different information. It has supposedly been escalated 2x now. There are no updates available on line. This is week 10 and it still says processing. I tried to email to no avail. They keep telling me it’s a “pilot program” to justify the fact that they can’t provide an update. I am so sorry I used this service. I see these 5 star reviews, and I’m wondering if they are even real.
Absolute joke of a service. I sent in my application almost 10 weeks ago and have heard nothing. The estimation is longer than just sending it in via mail and there are no real people to talk to. I've had to contact my local congressman and even they can't get in contact with anyone.
Absolutely the best service. The entire process is very carefully spelled out in simple steps, with clear forms and illustrations. The instruction video was also helpful. The price was very reasonable and I was amazed by the fast turnaround. Shipping logistics to and from the company were excellent.
When it came time to renew my passport, I wanted to find a service to assist me with the process. What really sold me on passportrenewal.com is that all of the paperwork was filled out digitally and you can track your order through every step of the way. I would definitely recommend this service and it was worth the money.
I was notified by Australian Passport Office that my passport is expiring in 6 months.I went online and completed all the questionnaires. Then they asked me to validate my passport and it says they cannot find my records.Then they asked for my citizenship and validate, same issue, they can't find my records.I just used my passport last year and it is still current.Is this supposed to be easy online renewal?

Passport Renewal was everything one could hope for in an online passport service. Every step was done with diligence and attention to detail. We were able to track the process virtually right up until the passports arrived at our door.
Started the process November 4th and received passport Dec 19th. 45 day process. Not bad when you consider everything that's going on right now with covid-19. However length of time isn't why I dinged them 2 stars. I'll ding 1 star because they never got back to me on a ticket inquiry and I'll ding another star because I did not receive my additional passport card that I paid like 30 dollars extra to receive along with the passport. Not sure if this is a seperate mailing or what but I did not receive it and I will be inquiring about that. I want a refund for the card if they can't get it for me.

Myself and my partner both recently renewed our passports online. We simply took a photo on our mobile phone with a white wall at the back of us and emailed it to the passport office, it was very simple and cost affective as we did not need to pay £6.00 each in a booth. The same day we posted our old passports to them. We were very impressed to receive both of the new passports back within just one week. But we were more impressed with the updates and contact we received throughout the process, we had an email to say they had received the old passports, an email to say our new ones were being processed and then another email and a text message to say it had been sent out to us. The whole process was very easy, I would definitely recommend using this service. Applied online on Monday pm and posted the old passport to them. Got the new one back this morning (Thursday) -3 days start to finish including postal time. Big impovement on the system 10 years ago

To apply for or renew a passport on your own really isn't that difficult, but I found this online service to be extremely clear and concise. Paying their extra fee for processing was worth the peace of mind and they provided the FedEx label for me.
I understand they are quite busy and it's a crazy season, there just needs to be more transparency into what their purchased timeframes actually mean. I selected "Next Day" which is advertised as two business days. I submitted on Monday, expecting that two business days would mean I receive my passport renewal Wednesday, or worst case Thursday. Certainly within the week, as I also had to get my visa. I called on Monday and they indicated first thing in the morning someone would provide a shipping label. Called 4 times on Tuesday to ask on the status of the shipping label, even had a promise that the head of the Scheduling department would get it to me by end of day. At 7 pm I called to ask for the status and they said it was a 50/50 chance they would get it to me by even the end of Wednesday. I asked how they planned to hit two business day turnaround when two business days would have passed before they had even received my documents. They said their timeline does not begin until they receive the documents- so really it could be a week or more until they generate a shipping label, it's only 2 business days after they've received the materials that they can turn it around. So 3 business days from when you submit. For those in a crunch, particularly with pre-planned travel, that doesn't do much. I essentially am paying $500 for someone to go into an office for me, with no change in the pace of my passport renewal.Update: Received after 4 business days & into the weekend, missed flight.
Customer service was very reliable and helpful. Highly recommend.
