Resume People Canada took my blase resume to next level! Exactly what I needed. They were conscientious of the timeline in which I required a new resume and cover letter in order to apply for a job posting I was very interested in. Chris J was very attentive and tailored both documents so they would have the most impact.
I would rate it 0 stars if I could. I received no response from the appropriate customer service reps regarding a refund that they themselves on their website claim we are entitled to if we request it before being assigned a writer. At this point, I have no choice but to consider it a complete scam.
I used a ‘CV help’ for the first time in my career and whilst I had a reasonable idea of why I would benefit, the service from Leah @ career expert exceeded my expectation. Leah was punctual at all times (it took just minutes to get a response online to my questions) and perhaps more importantly took an hour on a Zoom call to explain the process and what was important to deliver. Through the process it was clear to me that Leah is very experienced in helping people through this. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome and can only highly recommend her services Thanks, Steve
I needed an updated resume for a GM position and wanted a professional looking document. To say that LEAH was great would be an understatement. She asked relevant questions about the prospective position as well as my history and experience. The resume and cover letter she produced for me was 1st rate. I would highly recommend this service. Although it seems expensive, for the level of position I am seeking, the documents Leah produced are now assets in my arsenal to pick up the right position for me.
I paid for the Executive level services. My experience started off well with an engaging conversation with a writer. Unfortunately, the result was disappointing. The resume created looked visually unappealing and apparently aligned with ATS (ran the resume through a competitor and it failed). The content had various typos and errors. They also copied and paste the content that I had provided and used all of it in the resume. Lastly, they used the actual resume template as a cover letter with no edits of the template at all. You can imagine how professional that looked for someone at an executive level. Unfortunately, I had to do significant work to clean up what they sent, and I didn't feel like it was worth the $600 dollars it cost at all. Finally, the linkedin package they offer does not include the company making any edits to your page. They have you do the work, they provide a template for you to make the changes your self. I feel I could have done a better job my self and saved the time, frustration and money.
I would highly recommend CV People. The communication is amazing and the work is completed to the highest standard. A special thank you to Leah, who completed my tasks for me and displayed diligence, attentiveness and showed a deep knowledge of any work being undertaken.
I paid for the Management level services. I had a decent resume to start but I wanted an edge. My experience started strong with an engaging conversation with a writer, and I went in hopeful. Unfortunately, the result was disappointing. The resume created looked visually appealing and apparently aligned with ATS (can't validate this). The content wasn't significantly changed from the original, there were various typos and errors (Backlog Management was listed twice beside each other as skills). This was also after a round of their QA. Unfortunately, I had to do significant work to clean up what they sent, and I didn't feel like it was worth the $400-500 dollars it cost at all. Further, after they presented this there was very little follow-up with me to ensure my satisfaction or get feedback. I felt pretty dropped. Maybe this service is better for people that are coming from nothing and need help on their first resume, but I can't recommend it for anyone that is already into their career. Probably you can do better yourself with some help from ChatGPT.

Norma was awesome. Threw a bunch of documents at her from 18 years of working. She took it all, synthesized it, and turned around a perfect resume in less than a week.
The process was very structured, which alleviated any stress I felt having to juggle my classes, job, and graduate applications. Resume People - Purvak - walked me through the entire process taking into account my own feelings and concerns. I would highly recommend any one to use this program.
The website promises a new resume in 3-5 days and it took almost 2 weeks to set up the initial meeting with the first person they assigned me to. When we got on the phone, she only asked one question to get to know me. The resume she drafted was incredibly chaotic and unusable, and reflected the lack of time she spent with me. When I provided feedback, she refused to make my edits. It took some work but eventually, I got reassigned to a second person who is a phenomenal human being, who took the time to get to know me and was such a phenomenal resource and brought such care, attention and expertise with my resume. I had an incredible experience with her. Regardless of being more satisfied with my second resume, I haven't had much luck with it so still suffering from the Resume People delays that caused me to miss the deadline associated with the post I was initially interested in.
