Great customer service, difficult install
This heater works really well once you get it set up. If you are not super experienced with installing units like this there is definitely going to be some trial and error, but the support hotline is amazing. Usually I don’t call hotlines because they aren’t helpful, but the guys at Velit will bend over backwards to make sure you get your heater running right. I had a strange issue with no firmware and no fuel pulling after a few weeks of disuse. They invited me to come to their office in Washington and Raley and Will spent over an hour going through everything until the heater was working like before. I think the value for money is definitely worth it.

Even though it was back ordered for a couple of months, I am so glad to finally have my Velit gasoline heater. Mine will be installed by Midwest Van Builders, as soon as I can schedule an appointment. Jonnie has installed many of these heaters and has worked with Velit to work through some of these heaters bugs. I feel very confident with both the product and the installer. My only regret is that I’m going through this crazy January Southern deep freeze without my Velit!!! Can’t wait to say “I’m nice and warm with my Velit gasoline heater in my beautiful van!”

Seemingly good product. However, I had a technical question about the installation, reached out to customer service, they referred me to their technical service department. I messaged them, it’s says they will reach out with a response in 2 business days. Never heard a thing. Had to figure it out in my own.

Installation, elevation and winter use
Installation: the instructions are lacking but if you watch the video(s), it's very doable. We used the aux. fuel port on the Transit (which is not recommended) and then tested the unit at various elevations, including at 7,600' in the eastern Sierras, and the heater worked fine. Outside temperatures were down to 32 degrees. I was reminded (the hard way) one night that you cannot run the heater on an almost empty tank. I purchased an exhaust pipe extension so as to make the placement more to my liking. I still need to test the unit at one of my more favorite campsites which is at 10K feet.

Install was easy and support is great
Install was easy and everything was going smoothly until a few days in the ECU became unresponsive. However, everything was sorted out after working with their tech support. I ended up needing to ship the ECU and thermostat back to the company for in-house flashing. Thankfully they covered the shipping costs and had the equipment back in working order with a quick turnaround. Shout out to Raleigh who was very response and helpful via email correspondence. The support was personable and turned what could have been a poor experience into a positive direction. Highly recommend.

Great product with amazing service
I had issues with my velit gasoline heater giving off a gasoline smell in my van. It took several changes to my setup which was mainly relocating my fuel pump and shortening my fuel lines. Throughout all this Raleigh from velit customer service went above and beyond to help. Back and forth emails and multiple phone calls over the course of a few weeks.Raleigh even responded to an email on new years day! Dude is awesome. His conviction on what would solve my issues is what gave me the confidence to get this heater running.The heater is performing wonderfully for me and my dogs now and we are extremely grateful for his help.

Absolutely awesome products and…
Absolutely awesome products and service! I purchased the Velit Diesel Heater for my '25 Sprinter Cargo van and the install was great and the heater works flawlessly. I did make a mistake when using the heater by over-priming it. I have now learned that the feature is best to be used when you are under the van just to make sure that fuel gets from the tank to the pump. After that let the pump and the heater do their thing. I am also very happy that Velit has actual people to talk to and when I filled out the online support form on Saturday night, I received a call on Monday morning which was the next business day. Hard to find companies like that anymore. I will only be installing and recommending Velit heaters from here on out.
