Sold us a car that did not make it home from dealership. Followed up by horrendous customer service and dishonesty. There are many good car dealers in the area—ZERO reason to chance it with Al Hayes. Avoid like the plague.
Shocking service received at service department
I bought a car from Alhayes motors Ennis 2 months ago. Very professional, good communication and dealt with us respectfully at all times. The transfer of finances and ownership was as easy as could be. Any after sales queries were taken seriously and without any hassle. I would recommend them and buy there again.
Had a great experience dealing the Al Hayes portumna. Bought a used car. Dealt with Alan but all staff were very accommodating and friendly. The car was fully serviced and some wear and tear issues were fixed before I was given the keys (most other garages would have leave that for the buyer to sort). Car was spotless with new tyres. Would have given 5 stars but they don't deliver, which is fair enough.
Extremely dissapointed in this companies attitude to sales, my partner rang the portumna garage regarding getting me a test drive a t roc I was a cash buyer and if I liked the car I was buying it there and then. Trading in my own and paying cash for the rest. My partner asked could they drive the car to the tuam garage for me to test drive as we live in corofin and have a 4 month old baby. Absolutely not was essentially their response unless they recieved a deposit. He then rang the tuam garage again same response. Connollys garage in Sligo drove a car from Sligo to their Galway garage for my partner to drive absolutely no issue no deposit required no nothing. But Al Hayes couldnt accomodate a customer less then an hours drive. Lost out on a sale of 30K+.
Would not buy again from Al Hayes, he runs around with his mobile stuck to his ear only caring about selling. After that he doesn't want to know you. My vehicle had to go back 3 times during guarantee period (other staff ok) but issues were never really resolved. He didn't even have the roof of the van washed on collection.
Deserve's 0 stars. Do not buy a second hand car off him. He lies and has 0 aftercare service selling defective work done . Fully justified losing his license being a VW dealer direct. Chancer!
