The entire staff was a blessing as we had to transport my dad from Texas back to Iowa. They went above and beyond with helpful suggestions, options, communication, and compassion! The flight team was incredible! Even though there was an issue with the plane, they were in constant communication and found a solution. My dad got to be outside for a bit and eat Fritos! He loved the experience! Our daughter who is a BSN loved flying with them and it is and experience she will never forget. If I could give them 10 stars I would!

Don't expect any customer service
Our experience started off well as they were communicative and kept us updated while there were days of weather delays. However, once the plane took off, taking my mother across the country, the communication completely stopped. The plane blew a tire - no one told us. My parents were stuck in an airport not knowing where they were going - again, no one from Angel Med told us. When, over a day later, they did arrive at their final destination, no one from Angel Med called the hospice company to arrange the intake. According to hospice, they called repeatedly and no one got back to them. I called later to inform them of this experience so no family has to go through it again and inquire about a partial refund and they have largely ignored me for 4 months.

Your flight nurse quickly recognized a problem with the initial transport of my sister from Memorial Hermann Pearland, TX hospital. This prevented her from being placed in an unsafe situation in our home. The hospital case worker did not inform us of the equipment necessary to care for her and was reluctant to allow us adequate time to find a facility near our home that could meet her needs. Your Chief Flight Coordinator, Matthew Butler halted the flight and informed us, on a holiday of our rights to not be forced by the hospital into moving my sister prematurely. For that we are eternally grateful. Everyone on your team was extremely caring, courteous, understanding and professional. You are definitely our Angels.

Angel Medflight took care of transporting our daughter from Oklahoma to Chicago after a brain injury. They handled insurance and all logistics. Angel MedFlight was a godsend!
Angel MedFlight was a godsend to me in the last two weeks!!! I was under a very tight and stressful deadline to get my mom out of rehab in Michigan to her new assisted living facility in Missouri. I didn’t want to put her on a commercial flight and didn’t want her to ride in a van for 10 hours. I kept seeing Angel MedFlight featured in a VMware tv commercial and wondered if that would be my answer. I called to inquire and the more I learned the more I became confident this would be my transportation solution. The staff were responsive and terrific in both the service and ability to make things happen quickly. I loved the fact that they worked directly with my mom’s rehab facility to get needed medical information (instead of me trying to get it) so my mom could be cleared to fly. My mom arrived earlier than anticipated and she said the staff were great. I would heartily recommend this company. I’ve told many people about Angel MedFlight since no one I asked was familiar with reputable air ambulances.

What a disaster
I made the reservation two and a half months before our moving date. My son is very ill with severe MECFS. There was no other way to get him from our home in California to our new one in Massachusetts. One day before the scheduled flight they called us to say there was NO plane for us, sorry. Three hours later and after much arguing, they said, oh, another company’s plane could take us but couldn’t take our service dog. In the midst of moving day, packers in and out, and giving the house a final clean, I had to scramble madly and include the help of several friends to find the only cargo line and flight that could take our dog within four hours of our new home, buy a different kind of crate than angelmed flight had required, at a cost of three thousand dollars and much anguish. The flight coordinator was very defensive throughout, seemed to think leaving us without a flight at the last minute was no problem, and even threatened that I might not be able to accompany my son on the flight ( who can’t survive without my care!). All in the name of “patient safety”!The flight itself and crew ( not angelmedflight) were terrific, although instead of the promised “ our town airport to destination’s town airport”, we had a two hour ride in an ambulance to a larger city. Extremely stressful experience and would not recommend them EVER.Now, two weeks later, I want to add that, on the last day before our flight, after having paid them with a check ( and right before they informed me they had no flight for us !)They insisted that I take a trip to the bank to wire them the money since they said the check had not yet arrived. I did so, and then a week after the flight, discovered by checking my bank statement, that they had DOUBLE BILLED me, cashing my check after I’d wired them the money directly. 🤬

Angel Flight has been incredible!! Kristy Becker coordinated Blake’s first flight 4/24 from West Palm Beach to Atlanta, Ga Piedmont Hospital. 24yo Covid intubated, needing ECMO. You then transported him to Univ of Maryland Medical Center where he is waiting for a double lung transplant.Your team and company are amazing!! Thank you!!!!

Angel MedFlight was great! They transported by 91-year-old father from Tucson, AZ to Destin, FL, and the cost was lower than any of the other quotes I received. WOW! Incredible communication and very efficient. I had a very difficult bariatric patient who needed to fly to another state for liver transplant evaluation. Process was easy for the patient, for case manager and for Hospital team. The service at Angel Medflight was expeditious, accurate and effective. I would highly recommend them for fixed wing transport.
