very disappointed by this pre-booked…

very disappointed by this pre-booked journey. We pre-booked at £27 and when the taxi arrived, the meter was already over £27. The driver asked for more money at the end and as he wouldn’t leave the house I gave him £35. My wife was charged an additional £27 would recommend you stay away from them.

Don't know what's going on multiple occasions taxi booking have taken wrong again like today I was onroute to ghe cinema in a five seater taxi I rang yo book the taxi on return journey.Came out of the cinema to a 4 seat taxi I ring back think the problem is their using a call centre abroad these people don't understand the English language

I know it's Ramadan but what an inconvenience for people who are British. Hate new automated booking, it doesn't let you know how long you have to wait or who is picking you up, not good as there are to many weirdos driving the taxis.

Worst Company to work with

The owner of this company prioritizes profit above all else, all he cares is about money. Even as a part-time driver with limited working opportunities, you’re charged the same radio fees. Don’t be misled by promotional videos on Facebook featuring drivers speaking positively about the company—chances are they were either paid or given a free week of radio rent.The operators are often unfriendly, and favoritism is rampant. On one occasion, a job was canceled without reason, and when I called to clarify, they falsely claimed that I had canceled it myself. When I suggested it could be a software issue, they became rude and defensive. Their time management is also poor—once, I had a pickup from Luton with only 30 minutes to get there, but they assigned me another time-consuming job beforehand. When I pointed out the impracticality, they simply told me to "put my foot down." I refuse to take risks for a company that pressures drivers into unsafe driving conditions.Some operators appear to be outsourced overseas, possibly in Pakistan( cheap labour), and struggle with English, often providing incorrect addresses. It’s clear they prioritize cost-cutting over service quality. Since Goldstar shut down, competition has increased, and many drivers are unhappy—unless they engage in favoritism to secure better jobs. At the end of the day, drivers are just numbers to them.The private hire industry as a whole is becoming increasingly difficult, with a flood of new drivers and competition from Uber and Bolt. I predict the business will struggle to survive beyond the next 5–10 years, as these ride-hailing services dominate the market. Meanwhile, local councils seem indifferent, siding with customers in disputes and leaving drivers without support.If you’re considering joining this company—good luck.

Woman on their own "BEAWARE" getting a taxi is not always the best option, sometimes the bus is safer. Too many weird taxi drivers in Stevenage.

Vile rude drivers

Booked a taxi from Stevenage rail station to holiday inn. Prepaid £5.20. Taxi turned up and said it was him I’d booked with. On arrival at holiday inn said it was a mistake and I owed him £5.20 which I paid. Was then phoned by another taxi driver asking where the f••• was I. Told him the scenario, told me to F off and debited £6 from my account. An absolute disgrace. Will be following this despicable company up.

Stevenage Taxis

A trip to The Pharmacist for a Covid Jab was required,SO ,I Tentatively phoned to book a Taxi to Take me and my stroller, wait then return me home, "No Problem" said the Receptionist, and I was booked in and given approximate cost when asked,The Taxi was on time the allocated day, The Driver was considerate, polite, helpful with my clumsiness, and ensured my seatbelt was on securely before setting off. He parked as near as possible after ensuring my access was step-free for the stroller, and was parked nearer waiting for me! The Care and Consideration continued.....even helping me up the kerb at home. The Whole experience was faultless.... Made it an enjoyable "Trip-Out" for this otherwise Housebound-through-bad-weather O.A.P. THANKYOU MICK !!!

Will not use again !! Rip off taxi,driver was going to charge me £3.50 more than I normally pay should be £7.50 was charging me £9.50 No help with bags & walker frame for disabled person ,disgusting

Let us down for airport!

Booked a taxi to Luton Airport. Confirmed it wouldn’t be late. Arranged for a pick up at 06:55. Rang them at 07:00 since no taxi and was told it was ‘en route’. Man on ‘phone at Stevenage taxis was rude and cancelled taxi! Fortunately our neighbour took us. What if we kept a taxi waiting for over 5 minutes, would they wait? No!!!Then they’re the first to moan about people using Uber!!!

Terrible service

Today marks the 3rd time now, I’ve had rude customer service over the phone from the same woman. Taxi sent to the wrong address even though I’ve got the same route every weekday morning and has left me waiting 30 and one time 40 minutes making me very late each time. Each time I’m also being charged different prices for the same route and including the taxi driver taking us to the wrong school and still charging me for the extra mileage regardless of it being their fault.

I have reported this incident to the police.Today I ordered an Uber. When the car pulled up I got inside. I said to the driver I have ordered an Uber because someone just told me there are no buses today. He laughed and asked where in the town centre I was going to. I said I am not going to the town centre. I said is it not on your app that I am going to Lonsdale road? He said yes don’t worry. So the whole journey he did not speak to me , I found that strange as Uber drivers are usually very chatty. When we arrived at my destination I went to exit , he said you have not paid, I said but you are an Uber . He said no I am not , you owe me £5.20p. I said you did not tell me you have lured me under false pretences. As I opened my purse he then said he wants more money from me and I said why ? he said you are still in my cab , he became aggressive and told me to pay . I gave him £6 he did not want to give any change ,then he gave me back 20p. I asked for his cab office name and he told me goldline. He lied.I filmed him and got the Reg plate and cab company number and when I phoned it was Stevenage taxis . The receptionist told me that I am lying about the whole thing . So I went into the police station today and I have reported him. The real Uber charged me £6 for not being there so how can I be lying about knowing which car I am getting into.I felt scared.The car smelt and was filthy.The police have just advised me by phone to report him to trading standards.

I would never recommend them or use…

I would never recommend them or use these again they never wait for my 4 year old daughter to have her seat belt on or are verry rude I was getting in a taxi with my friend I was putting kids in I got one seat belt on and was about to put my daughter's on I got one side on and just about to put the other one on while the slidy doors open with half my body in taxi with my leg out and his pulling of I told him to stop 3 times on the 3rd time of asking he finally stoped then I shut the door while holding on to my daughter knowing he is going to pull away and he did after door was closed I told him stop 3 times again as my daughter seat belt was not on he then got very aggy and I then told him we are ready to go and then he start driving very angry and tried pulling out on a round bout where cars are very close nearly killing us for the 2nd time I'm verry angry as he was verry ride and denied everythink when getting out taxi rang the taxi office he has not been been pulled of the road they told me they will tell the manger I'm fuming to know he did not care bout safety of me and my child or my friend or her child I'm very angry and upset I fort my life nd my daughter's was over

Reported that i left a grocery bag in…

Reported that i left a grocery bag in the trunk of the taxi and requested if they can send out a broadcast. Firstly they acted like they did not care and did not want to help. Secondly how hard is it for every cab driver to just have a look? As a struggling mom that was food for us now gone when an honest person couldve spoke up!

Terrible service

Terrible service! The driver was not waiting at Arrivals at Heathrow, but outside. He wanted to save the parking cost. He and the operator claimed he was waiting over an hour, because they based it off my landing time in the booking form, not my actual booking time of one hour after landing, which they had confirmed by mail. They don't know know how or when to retrieve people at an airport. Finally, they driver could not find our destination in Stevenage and left our bags by a rubbish tip. I wrote and complained but heard nothing. They are a bad outfit.

Stevage taxis proved a fast easy and most of all reliable service for our trip to the airport. Also were very dependable upon our return on Saturday 22nd July, and we're waiting for us, as arranged, upon our arrival.Courteous and concise in the whole process, we would recommend them above any other taxi service! N.b. Originally booked through A1 Taxis who, in the first instance, let us down. Never ever use them if you need reliability. They are based abroad and receptionist spoke in very foreign 'English'! STEVENAGE TAXIS TO THE RESCUE!!! Thank you 👌

Abusive texts from drivers

I must say, receiving a text on your way to work from an angry cabby who's angry for the fact that you didn't cancel your cab (sorry buddy, try having more than one phone line) isn't the way to start your day. Receiving a text from an unknown number that reads "don't waste our time" isn't the way to go with your customer service, really.
