I ordered tulips for my sister on…

I ordered tulips for my sister on December 4 it shipped mid December great it would be there for Christmas. I called and confirmed this and they said yes! On Christmas Eve the sent me email saying it was returned bad address. I know it’s the correct address I sent three other packages and they were not returned. So my sister gift was not there for her. I called and the office was closed and then the email stated shipping and tax was not refunded. What a joke they got the address wrong I goggled on goggle earth and it comes up. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS SHODDY COMPANY AGAIN !

Shop elsewhere

Spent over $80 (with shipping) for a six inch potted christmas cactus. No blooms and soil all over the inside of the box. Plant looks like it probably should be planted in boot hill instead of a pot.Not happy

Shipped plants too late to be planted

Shipped plants too late to be planted. Refused to cancel and refund. They want me to plant into freezing ground then try to get a replacement in the spring when it's dead.

Good product, good support

I ordered 5 bulbs (or rhizomes?) for some Allium (Globemaster) last fall. They arrived at planting time and looked good. The instructions were sufficient. They sprouted, grew, and bloomed well. After blooming however, I noticed they did not open completely, they were like half of a "globe". They responded to my email asking about what caused this immediately and helped me solve my problem.

Do Not Trust White Flower Farm!

Last fall I ordered peony roots and five dahlia tubers. I planted the peony roots upon arrival and they appear to be starting to wake up. This week I received the dahlia tubers - these are the new anemone type dahlias. The first bag I opened had a tiny tuber "clump" with ALL broken necks. I opened a second bag and the same thing! Suffice it to say, I reached out to White Flower Farm, explained the situation, and was told they have received several calls for the same reason and that their "Horticultural Expert" stated that the tubers should be planted and then, if they don't come up, they can talk about replacing or refunding. I told her that they need to get a new "Horticultural Specialist" because if the necks are broken - the tubers are Not Viable, so why would I waste my time planting them? I have been growing Dahlias for several years. I told her I would like my money back and will not purchase from them again and she stated that they will not give me a refund until I can show that they did not grow. When I told her I wanted them to take them back, she stated that I would have to pay return shipping. Do NOT purchase from this company. They are NOT REPUTABLE!!!

Paperwhites

Paperwhites. They are more expensive here than any where else. I need them for my business and order in bulk. They were supposed to arrive a week later, but did not arrive on the date specified so I called customer service. They had not shipped yet, not a whisper of a notification of late shipment but tons of sale spam had arrived in my mailbox. The customer service person apparently thought I was being selfish, saying that there were plenty of people waiting for their orders. White Flower Farm, you run a business in which people depend on your reliability. Congrats on the sales, but it's up to you to follow through for everyone. I used to order plenty from this company when they first started up. They are too expensive. They do have gorgeous marketing, which is the problem.

50% Success

I ordered four dahlias, to include two of the same kind. One did not come up, for which I received full credit. The second one was fine, but the third and fourth, which were to be two of the same Dahlia, have very different color foliage and indeed, upon blooming, they are of the same color class (orange) but not the same dahlia type. So 50% success. UPDATE: I must commend the company's customer service. I received a very nice email and full refund when I let them know about the Pooh dahlia mixup. Both times I have contacted customer service, I have been very pleased with their timeliness and their resolution of my issue. 8/14/24

My order came and the plants were half dead

My order came and the plants were half dead and puny. They sent me replacements. The replacements (3 plants) were in a huge box and had tipped out of the planter pots. The plants again were puny, barely 2 inches tall. For almost $12 a plant, they should have been bigger and healthier. Will never order from them again.

White Flower Farms charged $25.00 for a sprout

White Flower Farms had the nerve to charge $25.00 for a 2" sprout that was dead on arrival. After carefully opening the package, it turns out it was severed from the root, due to rot. I won't ever order from them again and suggest that you don't either. Where can I upload 2 photos to show you?

Great company, great customer service

Great company with great customer service. Plants and bare roots are packed with great care and are always healthy on arrival. On the very rare occasion that there is a problem they are quick to respond with either a refund or a replacement.

Ordered and planted 300 daffodils last…

Ordered and planted 300 daffodils last fall. Called and told White Flower Farm that at least 20 bulbs were soft. She said she would take care of it. She didn't. Worse more than 30 did not come up. Called and got cut off; was talking with Millis. Wrote 2 weeks ago and never got a response. Also ordered 200 crocuses and noted that I thought I was getting a 50/50 yellow/blue mix. Got 80 or 90 yellow mix. Very disappointed. I was the third generation to deal with White Flower. Not anymore. They got their $600.00 and dumped me.

Poor customer service and product quality

Poor customer service. Shipping took 5 days to arrive. Plants poorly packed with brown spots and completely dried out and puny in size. Second shipment with no notification. Plants arrived puny, with yellow leaves, tips torn off and brown edges. Cancelled entire rest of order. Will never buy from them again.

Good Customer service

While I did have similar issues with lag in delivery, I did not have the issues with customer service, many have stated here. I found them proactive and immediately responded and corrected issues.

I will NEVER purchase from your company…

I will NEVER purchase from your company again, the 45 minute multiple hold times, not delivering a package in a timely manner and having horrible people with bad customer service values. A real turnoff when one is spending a lot of money.Don't shop here

Really rotten customer service

Christmas cactus is rootbound, and came in a planters pot instead of the copper pot I ordered. NO instructions whatsoever. The copper pot into which I must transplant it myself has no holes for drainage, so I have to buy another pot locally. Worse yet, when I called them to get planting/growing instructions, I was on hold for over 17 minutes, with no apology offered. When I asked why there weren't instructions with the plant I was curtly advised "we sell thousands of different kinds of plants, so we couldn't possibly put specific instructions in with each order." Ok, well, here's one less customer who will ever have to bother you.Totally dissatisfied, and will never buy from them again.

Beware Quality of Perennials

Purchased perennials that were terribly root bound -- not just a little, but a solid wall of roots that could not be broken apart by hand. Upon contacting them they suggested I use a razor to try to pry them loose. Not what I would expect from an independent nursery charging premium prices

Can I give less than one star?

I have been placing multiple hundreds of dollars in orders from WFF for decades & always lavished praise; even though the plants are pricey & often small in size, the quality was great & the customer service was super-responsive if there was a problem. BUT, JUST THIS WEEK, WFF CANCELED AN ORDER I HAD PLACED W/O TELLING ME! (I only found out after receiving WFF's shipping confirmation & checked the UPS tracking number.) When I called WFF to inquire, I reached a robot telling me that customer service was closed for the weekend. IF REGULAR CUSTOMERS ARE TREATED THIS WAY, I WD WARN POTENTIAL NEW CUSTOMERS TO THINK TWICE BEFORE ORDERING FROM WFF. WFF is no longer the high-quality, reliable company it used to be.

The company is over priced for the size…

The company is over priced for the size and quality of the plants. Too much money goes towards shipping which is totally un-eco friendly and less on the size and fullness of the plants. They are not competitive with other greenhouses in pricing and although I paid more I got leggy plants.I bought 2 orchids in a pot and the orchids were overly tall 20 inches with just a few clusters of buds and 1 full flower each at the very end. They had no asthetic appeal. They were cramed into a small plastic cup and packed with straw like stuff but were not actually growing in orchid soil within the pot so required I then buy orchid soil to transplant them.$135 was a rip off. I got a beautiful full white orchid at the grocery store for $43Nunca mas.

Went out on a limb to order online - regret

Went out on a limb to order online, sometimes my local nurseries don't have exactly what I am looking for. I found a beautiful collection of coleus at WhiteFlower Farm specifically sold as a collection. I purchased 2. $160 with shipping. Not cheap. They arrived in a box, tightly packed and unfortunately many were in marginal condition. I decided to plant them to see if they would make it with a little time. I had the house sitter water them while I was out of town. Sadly of the 12, only 4 looked viable when I returned. I contacted customer service, probably too late though. They offered a partial refund, and wanted to know which ones didn't make it. Out of 6 different named plants, I couldn't recall. After some pressing on my part and contacting them yet again, they also refunded the shipping fee. So I ended up paying them about $50 for 4 plants. They really need better packaging and faster delivery for the plants to survive, was quite a waste of energy and resources. I used to order Amaryylis from them but won't now. They could have kept a customer, as their "complete customer satisfaction guarantee" offers. Just offer me a credit for the remainder you wouldn't refund or offer to send something in the fall.
